En el Grand Hotel de Tijuana, México, el joven peso supermosca mexicano Christian Bacasegua 20(8KO)-4(1)-2, 7º WBO, buscará llevar a ocho su racha de victorias enfrentándose al fuerte y correoso Erick “Habanerito” López 16(10KO)-8(1)-2, que en su carrera reciente prácticamente a todos sus oponentes les ha planteado una pugna dura y muy exigente, incluido un Argi Cortés que venía de generar muchas dificultades al “Gallo” Estrada.
El viernes también se producirán estos otros choques:
-En el Estadio Delmi de Salta, Argentina, el local Durval “El Bombardero” Palacio 11(8KO)-2(1) intentará conseguir su tercera victoria consecutiva enfrentándose al brasileño Matheus Da Silva 8(3KO)-0, que en su última pugna logró algo tan difícil como una victoria por decisión ante un prospecto en Kazajistán.

-En el Caribe Royale de Orlando, Estados Unidos, DAZN emitirá un evento en el que el prospecto cubano del peso superligero Kevin Hayler Brown 2(2KO)-0 disputará su tercer combate profesional contra el estadounidense Julian Smith 6(4KO)-1 y los peso pesado Lorenzo Medina 6(6KO)-0 y Andrey Mangushev 7(5KO)-0 se medirán en un duelo de invictos.

En muchas ocasiones parece que las grandes promotoras quieren ponérselo difícil a los aficionados para seguir sus veladas y disminuir sus propios beneficios, ya que a menudo hacen coincidir varias carteleras destacadas a una misma hora. Esto mismo es lo que pasará este sábado, con tres eventos que se solaparán en Reino Unido.
En teoría, la que acabará antes, y permitirá ver el combate estelar de otra de las dos carteleras, será la encabezada por el mundial IBF del peso pluma entre Luis Alberto López y Michael Conlan. Finalmente, Lawrence Okolie expondrá su cinturón mundial WBO del peso crucero en la ciudad de Chris Billam-Smith, si bien una pugna de Okolie siempre tiene el gran riesgo de resultar insufrible y es posible que muchos se decanten por el López-Conlan o el Wood-Lara II. Horas más tarde se producirá el evento de Golden Boy Promotions, emitido por DAZN, en el que el número 1 WBO del peso wélter Alexis “Lex” Rocha 22(14KO)-1, mientras espera a ver si Errol Spence y Terence Crawford se enfrentan de una vez por todas, disputará un rodaje contra el también estadounidense Anthony Young 24(8KO)-2(1), cuyo mayor triunfo fue el que obtuvo en 2019 ante un acabado Sadam Ali.
En cuanto al respaldo, el prospecto estadounidense del peso mínimo Óscar Collazo 6(4KO)-0 buscará coronarse campeón mundial en su séptimo combate ante el sólido y peligroso monarca Melvin Jerusalem 20(12KO)-2, que se coronó el pasado enero destruyendo en sólo dos asaltos al resistente y fuerte Masataka Taniguchi. Por otro lado, en el Sun City’s Superbowl en Sudáfrica, se desarrollará un evento con algunos combates mencionables. En uno de ellos, el jovencísimo peso supermosca local Phumelele Cafu 8(7KO)-0-3, 8º IBF y 10º WBA, afrontará una prueba de fuego ante el mexicano Rosendo Hugo Guarneros 20(10KO)-5(1)-2, más conocido por su derrota por decisión ante Sunny Edwards y sus dos triunfos como visitante sobre Tommy Frank. En otro de los encuentros, el peso mosca sudafricano Jackson Chauke 22(15KO)-2-2 buscará regresar a la senda del triunfo (tras una derrota ante Cafu) enfrentándose al joven y capaz filipino Jayson “Striker” Vayson 10(5KO)-1-1.
Finalmente, el campeón de Sudáfrica del peso ligero Khaya Buaske 9(9KO)-3(3)-1, tras coronarse contra pronóstico, realizará su primera defensa ante un exposeedor del mismo cinturón como Ayanda Nkosi 15(9KO)-1, que no pierde un combate desde 2015.

-En el Polideportivo José Arijón de Desvío Arijón, Argentina, TyC Sports televisará un campeonato Sudamericano del peso mosca en el cual el prometedor titular argentino Tobías “El Pitbull” Reyes 11(10KO)-0 tratará de anotarse un nuevo knockout ante el venezolano Luis Guerrero 8(7KO)-6(2)-2.
-En el CAA Centre de Brampton, Canadá, se producirá un combate del peso supermedio que, sobre el papel, no está mal emparejado entre Ryan Young 15(11KO)-4(1) y Shakeel Phinn 24(16KO)-3-1.
-En el Tupatemi Airforce Central Stadium de Bangkok, Tailandia, el excampeón Wisaksil Wangek 51(44KO)-6(3)-1 disputará su aplazado combate contra Komgrich Nantapech 31(22KO)-6(2).

On many occasions it seems that the big promoters want to make it difficult for fans to watch their evenings and reduce their own benefits, since they often schedule they cards at the same time. This is what will happen this Saturday, with three events in the United Kingdom that will overlap.
