Aunque se podrá hacer mención de algunos enfrentamientos el jueves y el viernes, valdrá la pena guardar fuerzas para el sábado, ya que la jornada estará completamente atestada de peleas interesantes desde la mañana hasta la madrugada.
Jueves 13 de octubre
En el Sony Hall de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, se producirá una velada emitida a través de un PPV de BXNGTV que contará con la participación de tres nombres con cierto relieve, si bien los tres ante oponentes ante los que serán abrumadores favoritos.
Y es que el peso wélter ucraniano Ivan “The Volk” Golub 20(15KO)-1 pondrá fin a 14 meses de inactividad peleando contra el estadounidense Wesley Tucker 15(9KO)-3(1), que sólo ha perdido antes del límite contra el fortísimo Radzhab Butaev. El peligroso peso superligero ruso-armenio Petros Ananyan 16(7KO)-3(1)-2, buscará regresar a la senda del triunfo (tras su derrota ante Subriel Matías) peleando contra el modesto brasileño Paulo Cesar Galdino 12(8KO)-5(3). Y la excampeona mundial estadounidense Heather Hardy 22(4KO)-2 realizará su primer combate en casi un año y medio (desde su derrota contra pronóstico ante Jessica Camara) peleando en el peso ligero contra la veterana Calista Silgado 20(15KO)-15(3)-3.
Por otro lado, en el Hotel Barceló San José de San José, Costa Rica, la prospecta local del peso gallo Julianna “La China” Rodríguez 4(3KO)-0 afrontará su mayor reto hasta la fecha como profesional enfrentándose a la dos veces retadora mundial panameña Sayda “La Bomba” Mosquera 9(6KO)-4(2)-1.
Viernes 14 de octubre
El viernes sólo contará con un evento destacable. Este tendrá lugar en el Arena de Monza, Italia, emitido por Rai Sport 1, y estará protagonizado por el campeonato por el vacante cinturón de Europa del peso gallo entre el local Alessio “Mosquito” Lorusso 18(6KO)-4-2 y el español Sebastián “Látigo” Pérez 13(2KO)-2-1.
La pelea parece bien emparejada e interesante, ya que un Lorusso en racha de 13 victorias, correoso y que pelea como local se enfrenta a un Pérez más fuerte, con una victoria ante Ionut Baluta y que en sus duelos como visitante ante Elie Konki y Louie Lynn ofreció meritorias actuaciones. Así, y no teniendo ninguno de los dos gran pegada, este podría ser un contendido, entretenido y largo duelo.
En el respaldo se producirá la primera defensa como campeón de Italia del peso pluma de Mattia Occhinero 9(6KO)-0-1, que se medirá al excampeón nacional italiano del peso supergallo Mattia De Bianchi 13(0KO)-1.
Además de dichos combates, se pueden mencionar estos otros:
-En el Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino de Niagara Falls, Estados Unidos, ESPN Knockout emitirá el quinto combate profesional del prospecto del peso mosca Anthony Olascuaga 4(2KO)-0, que comparará su rendimiento al de Jesse Rodríguez y Ricardo Sandoval enfrentándose a un rival de estos, Marco “El Lobito” Sustaita 13(11KO)-4(2)-1.
-En el Topsporthal Vlaanderen de Gante, Bélgica, la invicta peso wélter Oshin Derieuw 16(6KO)-0 disputará un rodaje, antes de un combate importante, enfrentándose a la olímpica marroquí Mahjouba Oubtil 4(1KO)-2.
-En las instalaciones del Racing Club de Avellaneda, Argentina, TyC Sports emitirá una pelea en la que Cristian “Azteca” Ayala 9(4KO)-1-1 buscará entrar en el ranking WBO del peso wélter peleando otra vez por un título menor, siendo su rival un Cristian “Escopeta” Reggiardo 8(4KO)-3(1) ante el que será claro favorito.
Sábado 15 de octubre
En esta jornada habrá muchísima actividad relevante, así que quizás sea mejor ordenarla por orden cronológico.
Primeramente se producirá una velada emitida por DAZN que supondrá el debut de Matchroom Boxing en territorio australiano. Esta estará encabezada por el enfrentamiento Liam Paro vs. Brock Jarvis, y contará en su respaldo con el duelo Abdoulaye Mayweather vs. César Mateo Tapia y nuevas pugnas para Skye Nicolson y Demsey McKean. Unas horas después de que termine este cartel, se iniciará otro de Probellum desde el Olympia de Liverpool, Reino Unido, evento emitido en abierto desde la página de la promotora y que estará encabezado por dos enfrentamientos. En uno de ellos el destacado prospecto del peso supergallo Peter McGrail 4(3KO)-0 tratará de anotarse un nuevo knockout en su mayor test hasta la fecha ante el nicaragüense Alexander Espinoza 21(8KO)-4(2)-2, que a pesar de venir de una derrota rápida ante Andrew Moloney ofreció meritorias actuaciones ante Ukashir Farooq y Misha Aloyan.
En el respaldo, el dos veces retador mundial James “Jazza” Dickens 31(12KO)-4(3) disputará el que en teoría debería de ser un exigente combate del peso pluma ante el competente sudafricano Lerato Dlamini 18(10KO)-1.
La cartelera principal de dicho evento coincidirá en el tiempo con la esperada velada en la que Claressa Shields y Savannah Marshall al fin se enfrentarán por el título indiscutido del peso medio, y Mikaela Mayer y Alycia Baumgardner pelearán por unificar tres coronas del peso superpluma. Tras unas pocas horas más de espera, comenzará el evento en el que el excampeón mundial del peso pesado Deontay Wilder regresará al ring enfrentándose a Robert Helenius. Previa del combate siguiendo el link.
Las peleas que acompañarán al Wilder-Helenius en el segmento en PPV serán una eliminatoria del peso supermedio entre los exmonarcas mundiales Caleb Plant y Anthony Dirrell, un duelo del peso pesado entre el invicto Frank Sánchez y Carlos Negrón y una revancha del peso gallo entre Gary Antonio Russell y Emmanuel Rodríguez. Si todo esto fuese poco, además, el evento de PBC arriba mencionado se solapará con la cartelera en la que Devin Haney disputará una revancha, con el título indiscutido del peso ligero en juego, ante George Kambosos. Teóricamente, antes de terminar la maratón de boxeo, dará tiempo todavía de ver seguidamente el campeonato mundial WBC del peso supergallo entre Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado 19(5KO)-3 y Mariana “Barbie” Juárez 55(19KO)-11(3)-4, que se producirá en Chihuaha, México, televisado por Azteca 7. Este encuentro parece un símbolo, con la icónica Juárez pasando la antorcha a la joven Mercado, que quién sabe si podría ser una de las grandes estrellas futuras en el boxeo mexicano femenino. Por el momento, Mercado parece estar en un mejor momento y es de esperar que pueda vencer a Juárez y se anote un nombre relevante a su récord.
Además de toda esta actividad boxística, el sábado se producirán también estos otros choques:
-En el FDI Stadium de Montpellier, Francia, Mohamed Kani 20(0KO)-3 y Yahya Tlaouziti 19(8KO)-5(1)-3 buscarán al segundo intento capturar el título de campeón de la Unión Europea del peso wélter tras perder ambos en su primer intento ante Mehdi Mouhib.
-En el Civic Hall, Grays, Reino Unido, emitido por YouTube, la prospecta del peso wélter Dee Allen 3(3KO)-0 intentará acercarse al mundial WBC peleando por un cinturón menor ante la invicta mexicana Cindy Reyes 4(0KO)-0.
-En el EMD Fitness Centre de Dubái, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, el invicto cubano Dayan González 7(5KO)-0 y el imbatido afgano Hasibullah Ahmadi 14(5KO)-0 se verán las caras en un duelo del peso pluma que es, sobre el papel, el más exigente de sus carreras hasta la fecha.
-En el Parc des Expositions de Dreux, Francia, el olímpico Hassan Amzile 4(1KO)-0 tratará de convertirse en campeón de Francia del peso superligero ante Romain Couture 11(4KO)-5-2.
-En el Estadio cubierto de la subsede Cruce Alberdi en Rosario, Argentina, TyC Sports emitirá un combate en el que el 15º WBO del peso pluma Carlos Alanis 9(2KO)-0 tratará de escalar alguna posición combatiendo contra un Nicolás Emiliano Paz 8(3KO)-7(1)-2 que casi siempre ofrece duras e igualadas peleas.
-En el Polideportivo de Judimendi en Vitoria, España, el prospecto del peso gallo Fran Mendoza 14(7KO)-0 buscará su cuarta victoria en duelo de ocho asaltos enfrentándose al venezolano Johneiker Quintana 15(10KO)-5(3), que aguantó todos los rounds ante el invicto Luis Agüero y que llega de anotarse una victoria como visitante contra pronóstico.
-En el Parkway Bank Sports Complex de Rosemont, Estados Unidos, el peso supermedio con sólida base amateur Caleb Hernández 8(7KO)-0 comparará su rendimiento al del prospecto Khalil Coe enfrentándose a su último rival, el competente William Langston 6(4KO)-3(1).

Although some Thursday and Friday matchups can be mentioned, it will be worth saving energy for Saturday, as that day will be completely filled with interesting fights from early morning until late-night.
Thursday, October 13
At the Sony Hall in New York, United States, a BXNGTV PPV will feature three boxers of some relevance, although the three of them will face opponents against whom they will be overwhelming favorites.
Ukrainian welterweight Ivan “The Volk” Golub 20(15KO)-1 will put an end to 14 months of inactivity fighting American Wesley Tucker 15(9KO)-3(1), who has only lost by stoppage against the very strong Radzhab Butaev. The dangerous Russian-Armenian super lightweight Petros Ananyan 16(7KO)-3(1)-2 will seek to return to winning ways (after his loss to Subriel Matías) facing an easy opponent for him as Brazilian Paulo Cesar Galdino 12(8KO)-5(3). And American former world champion Heather Hardy 22 (4KO)-2 will have her first fight in almost a year and a half (since her upset defeat to Jessica Camara) in a lightweight bout against veteran Calista Silgado 20(15KO)-15(3)-3.
On the other hand, at the Hotel Barceló San José in San José, Costa Rica, local bantamweight prospect Julianna “La China” Rodríguez 4(3KO)-0 will face her biggest challenge to date as a professional facing the Panamanian, two-time world title challenger, Sayda «La Bomba» Mosquera 9(6KO)-4(2)-1.
Friday, October 14
Friday will just have one only interesting event. It will take place at the Arena in Monza, Italy, broadcast by Rai Sport 1, and will feature in the main event a championship for the vacant European bantamweight belt between the local Alessio «Mosquito» Lorusso 18(6KO)-4-2 and the Spaniard Sebastian «Látigo» Pérez 13(2KO)-2-1.
This fight seems well matched, since the tricky Lorusso, who fights at home and is on a streak of 13 victories, faces a stronger opponent like Pérez, boxer with a win over Ionut Baluta and who in his duels as a visitor against Elie Konki and Louie Lynn offered meritorious performances. Taking into account this and that neither of them have great punch, this could be a contested, entertaining and long duel.
The co-feature fight will be the first defense for Italian national featherweight champion Mattia Occhinero 9(6KO)-0-1, who will face former Italian super bantamweight titlist Mattia De Bianchi 13(0KO)-1.

There will be a lot of relevant activity on this day, so perhaps it is better to order it chronologically.
First, DAZN will broadcast the debut of Matchroom Boxing in Australia. This event will be headlined by the fight Liam Paro vs. Brock Jarvis, and will be supported by the duel Abdoulaye Mayweather vs. César Mateo Tapia and by new bouts for Skye Nicolson and Demsey McKean. Theoretically, before finishing this boxing marathon, there will still be time to watch the WBC world super bantamweight championship between Yamileth «Yeimi» Mercado 19(5KO)-3 and Mariana «Barbie» Juárez 55(19KO)-11(3)-4, which will take place in Chihuahua, Mexico, televised by Azteca 7. This match seems to be a symbol, with the iconic Juárez passing the torch to the younger Mercado, who in the future could become a great star in Mexican women’s boxing.
