Curiosamente, Matchroom Boxing confirmó antes el evento del día 29 de octubre Katie Taylor vs. Karen Carabajal que el undercard de una velada emitida en PPV en Reino Unido y que se producirá dentro de dos semanas. En cualquier caso, el hecho es que ya sabemos qué nombres protagonizarán el acompañamiento del evento Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn el 8 de octubre en el O2 Arena de Londres, Reino Unido.
En el semifondo, el peso medio Felix Cash pondrá fin a ocho meses de inactividad ante el invicto irlandés Connor Coyle. Esta pelea estará precedida por un nuevo combate para el oro olímpico Galal Yafai, que afrontará el mayor test de su carrera hasta la fecha midiéndose en el peso mosca al joven mexicano Gohan Rodríguez.
En el evento habrá doble participación española, dado que, por un lado, se producirá un choque del peso superligero en el que Harlem Eubank (primo de Chris Eubank Jr.) se enfrentará a David Martín Campillo, mientras que, por el otro, tendrá lugar un campeonato de Europa femenino del peso supergallo en el que la titular Mary Romero expondrá su corona ante la prospecta local Ellie Scotney.
Además, la excampeona mundial Shannon Courtenay retornará al ring peleando en el peso gallo contra Gemma Ruegg, la prometedora peso mosca Chloe Watson se medirá a la dura exmonarca mundial mexicana Nancy Franco, el peso pesado Matty Harris se verá las caras con el asequible Chris Healey y el peso semipesado Lyndon Arthur se medirá a un oponente por confirmar.
En definitiva, por cantidad de peleas y los alicientes de algunas de ellas, la velada tendrá interés, pero realmente parece una velada de DAZN convencional y de ningún modo parece estar al nivel de un evento en PPV, que tendrán que pagar los suscriptores de la plataforma de Reino Unido, Irlanda, Australia y Nueva Zelanda.
