De nuevo, esta semana no será una preocupación si habrá combates interesantes que ver, sino encontrar la forma de ver todos los posibles lidiando con los solapamientos y los maratones de eventos boxísticos.
Jueves 9 de junio
La actividad de relieve comenzará como tantas otras veces el jueves. En esta ocasión lo hará en el Gazgolder Club de Moscú, Rusia, con una velada de RCC Boxing y GazFight que contará con más de una decena de combates emitidos por Boets Tv. Entre ellos destaca el mayor test hasta la fecha para el joven peso semipesado Vasily Voytsekhovsky 8(4KO)-0 ante el fogueado campeón de Rusia Gasan Gasanov 18(14KO)-9(8)-1, que en 2020 dio un vuelco a su valoración con una victoria contra todo pronóstico ante el prospecto Artur Ziiatdinov.
En el respaldo participarán púgiles como el peso superligero Oganes Ustyan 8(3KO)-0, que afrontará su primera pelea ante un rival con dos dígitos en el casillero de triunfos enfrentándose al competente Radik Grigoryan 10(3KO)-1-1; el invicto peso ligero armenio Vladimir Sarukhanyan 15(6KO)-0, que pondrá fin a un año de inactividad ante un Vildan Minasov 7(4KO)-1 que llega de una buena victoria; y el extop 15 Pavel Malikov 16(6KO)-5(4)-1, que pugnará en el peso superpluma contra el bravo Nikita Kuznetsov 11(5KO)-3(2)-2.
Viernes 10 de junio
En este día sobresale una velada de Matchroom Boxing y DAZN que contará como combate estelar con un muy interesante, y potencialmente entretenido, campeonato mundial WBA del peso minimosca entre Hiroto Kyoguchi y Esteban Bermúdez. Esta pelea estará respaldada por el mundial supergallo Mayerlín Rivas vs. Karina Fernández, por el choque del peso superpluma Eduardo “Rocky” Hernández vs. Jorge David Castañeda y por una pelea del prospecto supermedio Diego Pacheco ante Raúl Ortega.

Un poco más tarde, aunque con cierto solapamiento, comenzará una buena velada de ShoBox: The New Generation emitida por Showtime desde el Turning Stone Resort & Casino de Verona, Estados Unidos. En el enfrentamiento principal, el insigne prospecto uzbeko del peso pesado, y oro olímpico, Bakhodir Jalolov 10(10KO)-0 buscará mantener su 100% de knockouts en su mayor combate hasta la fecha ante el belga-congoleño Jack Mulowayi 11(7KO)-2-1, púgil que aguantó diez rounds ante Frank Sánchez y que noqueó en Rusia al invicto prospecto Apti Davtaev.
En el choque coestelar, también en el peso pesado, el dominicano George “Gentelman” Arias 17(7KO)-0, que llega de truncar el récord invicto del estadounidense Cassius Chaney, tratará de sumar un nuevo triunfo ante un imbatido enfrentándose al local Alante Green 10(7KO)-0-1. Finalmente, la emisión de la velada comenzará con el encuentro del peso ligero entre el estadounidense de buena carrera amateur Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin 13(9KO)-0 y el canadiense Chann Thonson 10(7KO)-0.
Señalados estos buenos duelos, hay un par de encuentros más que mencionar en el viernes:
-En el Stadthofsaal de Uster, Suiza, el joven peso medio Ramadan Hiseni 15(5KO)-0 afrontará una exigente pelea de adquisición de experiencia ante el francés Nizar “The Bomber” Trimech 9(4KO)-3(1)-1, que empató como visitante contra el exretador mundial Kamil Szeremeta y que ofreció una dura pelea al extitular UE Ronny Landaeta.
-En el Club Municipal Lagomarsino de Pilar, Argentina, emitido por TyC Sports, se producirá en el peso wélter una revancha del combate que sostuvieron el año pasado Yoel Alberto “El Chacal” Peralta 10(2KO)-1-1 y Christian Nicolás “El Elegante” Andino 16(2KO)-3(1)-1, choque que terminó en empate dividido.
Sábado 11 de junio
Abordando los eventos más importantes del sábado desde el que comenzará más tarde al que se iniciará primero, la última de las emisiones programadas para el día es la cartelera principal del evento de Top Rank y ESPN encabezada por el peso supermedio invicto Edgar Berlanga, que tratará de noquear al exretador mundial Roamer Angulo.

Antes que este combate se inicie seguramente se habrá completado el cartel de Golden Boy Promotions y DAZN en el que el excampeón mundial Jaime Munguia realizará una pelea probando el peso supermedio. No obstante, su contrincante será el exretador mundial del peso superwélter, y actualmente peso medio, Jimmy “Kilrain” Kelly.

La velada del Munguía-Kelly comenzará después de que se haya producido el enfrentamiento del peso pesado entre Trevor Bryan y Daniel Dubois, quienes pelearán en un choque cuyo ganador tendrá que verse las caras posteriormente contra el ganador de la eliminatoria Michael Hunter vs. Hughie Fury.

El promotor Frank Warren ha organizado un evento emitido por BT Sport que precederá en Reino Unido a la retransmisión del Dubois-Bryan. Desde el Telford International Centre de Telford, el campeón británico del peso supergallo Marc “Livewire” Leach 18(4KO)-1-1, que ha catapultado su prestigio con triunfos sobre los invictos prospectos Qais Ashfaq y Chris Bourke, tratará de defender su cinturón enfrentándose a otro púgil imbatido como Liam Davies 11(5KO)-0, que afrontará una prueba de fuego en su carrera profesional.
Por otro lado, Ijaz Ahmed 10(1KO)-2-1 y Quaise Khademi 8(2KO)-1-1 completarán una trilogía de enfrentamientos peleando por el vacante cinturón británico del peso supermosca. Por el momento, las anteriores pugnas entre los dos han terminado una en resultado de empate y la otra con victoria para Khademi.
Esta cartelera coincidirá en el tiempo con la que organizará Boxxer emitida por Sky Sports desde el Wembley Arena de Londres, Reino Unido. En ella el invicto peso crucero local Richard Riakporhe 14(10KO)-0 y el italiano Fabio “Stone Crusher” Turchi 20(14KO)-1 se enfrentarán en una eliminatoria IBF que dejará al ganador cerca de la disputa del mundial. Además, dado que ambos están motivados y tienen claros puntos débiles en sus boxeos, este podría ser un choque contendido.
De todos modos, y aunque Riakporhe sumó controvertidos triunfos ante Chris Billam-Smith y Jack Massey, el hecho es que éste será favorito para imponerse a un Turchi fuerte y con ciertos recursos pero con mala gestión táctica y que fue derrotado por un Tommy McCarthy al que su rival noqueó.
En el respaldo se producirá un interesante y bien emparejado campeonato de Inglaterra del peso supermedio entre dos púgiles con cualidades como Germaine Brown 12(3KO)-0 y Zak Chelli 11(6KO)-1-1, pelea que servirá como eliminatoria al título británico, y los exranqueados Chris Congo 13(7KO)-1 y Sebastian Formella 23(11KO)-2 se medirán en un duelo del peso wélter.
Finalmente, entre los eventos destacados del sábado destaca otro que comenzará unas horas antes que las veladas británicas. Este se producirá en el Rixos Water World de Aktau, Kazajistán, y en él participará el prometedor kazajo Meirim Nursultanov 16(9KO)-0, 10º WBC, 12º WBO y 14º IBF del peso medio que disputará ya su cuarto combate pactado a diez rounds ante el argentino Sebastián Horacio Papeschi 18(6KO)-3(1). Dicho boxeador logró una victoria sobre Marcelo Cóceres entremedio de las grandes actuaciones que este tuvo ante Billy Joe Saunders y Edgar Berlanga.
En el respaldo de esta velada el peso superpluma Bekman Soylybayev 13(5KO)-1 buscará seguir alejándose de su única derrota enfrentándose al veteranísimo mexicano Tomás “Gusano” Rojas 52(34KO)-20(5)-1.

-En el Rumours International de Toowoomba, Australia, el peso superligero Steve Spark 14(13KO)-2(1), cuya única derrota reciente llegó ante Tim Tszyu, se enfrentará al exretador mundial tailandés Apinun Khongsong 18(15KO)-1(1), que sólo ha sido derrotado por Josh Taylor y que venció como visitante al exaspirante mundial Akihiro Kondo.
-En el Emperors Palace de Kempton Park, Sudáfrica, se producirá un campeonato de África del peso superwélter que será una revancha entre los locales Brandon Thysse 14(12KO)-2(1)-1, que ganó el primer duelo, y Roarke Knapp 13(11KO)-1(1)-1.
-En el Center Stage de Atlanta, Estados Unidos, el invicto peso wélter Peter Dobson 15(9KO)-0 se medirá al excampeón sudamericano argentino Rodrigo Damián Coria 10(2KO)-3.
-En el Paramount Theatre de Huntington, Estados Unidos, el peso superwélter Tyrone James 12(9KO)-0 disputará su segundo combate en tres meses enfrentándose al colombiano Janer González 20(16KO)-4(3)-1, que ha sufrido sus tropiezos ante rivales del nivel de Eimantas Stanionis, Radzhab Butaev o Jamal James.

-En la Salle Omnisports de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Francia, la peso superligero Victoire Piteau 9(2KO)-1 tratará de acercarse al mundial WBC peleando por un título menor contra la exretadora mundial mexicana Magalí Rodríguez 19(9KO)-6(2)-2.

Again this week, it will not be a concern if there will be interesting fights, but to find a way to watch as many as possible by dealing with the overlaps and the marathons of boxing events.
Thursday, June 9
The important activity will begin on Thursday. This time it will do it at the Gazgolder Club in Moscow, Russia, with an evening of RCC Boxing and GazFight that will feature more than a dozen fights broadcast by Boets Tv. Among them stands out the biggest test to date for the young light heavyweight Vasily Voytsekhovsky 8(4KO)-0 against the hardened Russian champion Gasan Gasanov 18(14KO)-9(8)-1, who in 2020 turned his career around with an upset victory over prospect Artur Ziiatdinov.

On this day will take place a Matchroom Boxing and DAZN event which will feature a very interesting, and potentially entertaining, WBA world light flyweight championship between Hiroto Kyoguchi and Esteban Bermúdez. This fight will be supported by the world super bantamweight championship Mayerlín Rivas vs. Karina Fernández, by the super featherweight clash Eduardo “Rocky” Hernández vs. Jorge David Castañeda and by a fight for the super middleweight prospect Diego Pacheco against Raúl Ortega. A little later, although with some overlap, will start a ShoBox: The New Generation card broadcast by Showtime from the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, United States. In the main event, Uzbek heavyweight prospect and Olympic gold medalist Bakhodir Jalolov 10(10KO)-0 will look to maintain his 100% knockout ratio in his biggest fight to date against Belgian-Congolese Jack Mulowayi 11(7KO)-2-1, a fighter who lasted ten rounds against Frank Sánchez and knocked out undefeated prospect Apti Davtaev in Russia.
In the co-main event, also a heavyweight bout, the Dominican George «Gentelman» Arias 17(7KO)-0, who comes from breaking the undefeated record of the American Cassius Chaney, will try to add to his record a new victory against an undefeated facing the local Alante Green 10(7KO)-0-1. Finally, the televised evening will kick-off with a lightweight match between the American, with good amateur career, Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin 13(9KO)-0 and the Canadian Chann Thonson 10(7KO)-0.
On Friday there will be a couple more matches to mention:
-At the Stadthofsaal in Uster, Switzerland, the young middleweight Ramadan Hiseni 15(5KO)-0 will face a demanding fight to gain experience against the Frenchman Nizar “The Bomber” Trimech 9(4KO)-3(1)-1, who had a draw as a visitor against former world challenger Kamil Szeremeta and who offered a tough fight to former EU titleholder Ronny Landaeta.
-At the Club Municipal Lagomarsino in Pilar, Argentina, broadcast by TyC Sports, Yoel Alberto «El Chacal» Peralta 10(2KO)-1-1 and Christian Nicolás «El Elegante” Andino 16(2KO)-3(1)-1 will clash in a welterweight rematch. The first bout ended in a draw.
Saturday, June 11
The last of the day’s scheduled broadcasts will be the main card of the Top Rank and ESPN bill headlined by undefeated super middleweight Edgar Berlanga, who will try to knock out former world title challenger Roamer Angulo. Read more following the link.
Before this fight begins, the Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN card will surely have been completed. In it former world champion Jaime Munguia will make his debut at super middleweight. However, his opponent will be the former super welterweight world challenger, and currently middleweight, Jimmy “Kilrain” Kelly. Read more following the link.
The Munguía-Kelly evening will begin after the conclusion of the heavyweight duel between Trevor Bryan and Daniel Dubois. Whoever will come out with his arm raised will have to face later this year the winner of the eliminator Michael Hunter vs. Hughie Fury. Read more following the link.
