Aunque el peso wélter ucraniano-rumano Maxim Prodan 19(15KO)-2(1)-1 se niegue con todas sus fuerzas a asumir la justa derrota que le asestó Florian Marku, el hecho es que tiene muchos problemas para lidiar con el boxeo dinámico. Esto lo demostró nuevamente el venezolano Luis Enrique Romero 11(7KO)-5(1)-1, que tras vencer a Jonathan Alonso ejecutó un gran boxeo sin iniciativa para dominar las acciones antes de sentenciar el combate con un excelente KOT después de levantarse de la lona.
Romero se mantuvo muy activo con sus piernas, dejando fuera de distancia y haciendo fallar incontables golpes a Prodan, todo ello mientras el venezolano sacaba un insistente y molesto jab y buenos contragolpes en cruzado zurdo y uppercut diestro. De esa manera, aunque Prodan llegó con buenos golpes de poder en gancho, estos eran muy aislados y se perdían entre el superior trabajo ofensivo y defensivo de Romero. Sin embargo, en un descuido en el sexto asalto, Romero recibió un brutal gancho zurdo que le desplomó en el tapiz.
Pese a ello, en el séptimo asalto el visitante (Prodan vive en Italia y es miembro de la escuadra OPI) impactó un directo diestro que tambaleó a su rival, que fue golpeado en las cuerdas hasta lo que padeció la detención arbitral. No obstante, el corrupto árbitro hizo una cuenta para que Prodan se pudiese recuperar, algo que volvió a hacer una vez más cuando, en la reanudación, el púgil siguió siendo vapuleado. Aun así, pese a los intentos del tercer hombre para salvar a Prodan, éste estaba en un muy mal estado y finalmente se tuvo que parar el enfrentamiento.

Dado que el duelo entre Vincenzo La Femina y Matteo Lecca fue cancelado, la velada de DAZN se inició con un combate en el que el peso crucero italiano-alemán Oronzo “Lo Stallone Barese” Birardi 4(3KO)-0 derrotó por decisión unánime (59-55 y doble 58-56) al rumano Ovidiu Enache 6(1KO)-10(1) en un muy exigente duelo para el imbatido.
Birardi comenzó boxeando con muchísima calma, ocupando el centro del ring con las manos bajas esperando el momento para llegar con veloces aislados jabs o directos diestros mientras esquivaba los volados del rumano. No obstante, el invicto estaba tan relajado y confiado que al final del segundo round recibió una dura mano diestra que le sorprendió y le hizo caer sobre las cuerdas, aunque no hubo cuenta. Este no fue el único susto que se llevó Birardi, ni el más grave, sino que en el cuarto asalto fue sacudido por un cruzado zurdo antes de ser estremecido por un abierto curvo diestro.
En los dos últimos asaltos Birardi sacó algunos afilados rectos al ataque o la contra con los que, a ojos de los jueces, superó los esporádicos potentes hooks de Enache, haciéndose con la victoria, si bien su actuación no fue ni mucho menos convincente y con ella dejó claro que tiene muchas cosas que ajustar y mejorar.

Although the Ukrainian-Romanian welterweight Maxim Prodan 19 (15KO)-2(1)-1 refuses with all his might to accept the fair defeat that Florian Marku dealt to him, the fact is that he has many problems with movers. This was showed again by the Venezuelan Luis Enrique Romero 11(7KO)-5(1)-1 who, after defeating Jonathan Alonso, used a great boxing without initiative to dominate the actions before closing the fight with an excellent TKO after getting up from the canvas.
Romero was very active with his legs, putting Prodan out of range and making him miss countless punches while throwing an insistent and annoying jab and good counterpunches in left hook and right uppercut. Thus, although Prodan landed some good power shots in hook, these punches were very isolated and were lost between Romero’s superior offensive and defensive work. However, in an oversight in the sixth round, Romero received a vicious left hook that dropped him to the mat.
Despite this, in the seventh round the visitor (Prodan lives in Italy and is a member of the OPI stable) landed a right hand that staggered his rival, who was hit on the ropes until what looked like a stoppage by the referee. However, the corrupt third man made a count so that Prodan could recover, something that he did once again when, at the restart, the fighter continued to be beaten badly. Still, despite the referee’s attempts to save Prodan, the boxer was very hurt and the bout ended being stopped.

Since the duel between Vincenzo La Femina and Matteo Lecca was cancelled, the DAZN broadcast began with a fight in which the Italian-German cruiserweight Oronzo “Lo Stallone Barese” Birardi 4(3KO)-0 defeated by unanimous decision (59-55 and double 58-56) the Romanian Ovidiu Enache 6(1KO)-10(1). However it was a very demanding duel for the undefeated.
Birardi began boxing very calmly, occupying the center of the ring with his hands lowered, waiting for the moment to land quick and isolated jabs or straight right hands while dodging the Romanian’s hands. However, the undefeated was so relaxed and confident that at the end of the second round he received a hard right overhand that surprised him and thew him to the ropes, though there was no count. This wasn’t Birardi’s only scare, nor the worst, since in the fourth round he was rocked by a left hook before being hurt by a right overhand.
In the last two rounds Birardi connected some sharp straight punches attacking or counterpunching with which, in the eyes of the judges, he overcame the sporadic powerful hooks of Enache and took the victory. Even so, his performance was not convincing at all and with it he made it clear that he has many things to adjust and improve.
