En el evento del Morrison-Rahman Jr., titulado Sons of Legends (Hijos de Leyendas), participó también el descendiente de otro insigne boxeador. Y es que antes del semifondo combatió el peso wélter estadounidense Alcibiade Durán 9(7KO)-2, conocido promocionalmente como Roberto Durán Jr., hijo de “Manos de Piedra” Durán. De todos modos, su segundo combate ante un rival de récord positivo no terminó con victoria, sino que el jovencísimo Arturo Moreno 6(2KO)-0 le venció por clara decisión unánime y justas tarjetas de 60-54, 59-55 y 58-56.
Durán tomó el centro del ring y la iniciativa, pero no encontró la manera o el momento para sacar con eficacia sus golpes, dudando ante la movilidad de su oponente y mostrando lentitud de piernas e inadecuado control de los espacios. En cambio, Moreno, aunque no tiene gran potencia, lanzaba sus manos de forma constante a través de jabs y directos que, unidos a su agilidad, generaron evidentes problemas a su rival.
En puntuales cruces de golpes Durán llegó con alguna derecha recta que pareció contundente pero, sin tener un acierto regular o un trabajo consistente, siguió perdiendo asaltos hasta el final ante la frecuencia de golpes y la agilidad de Moreno, que estaba tan motivado por lograr la victoria que incluso hacia el final llegó a pasar al ataque, obteniendo resultados positivos.

En cuanto al choque coestelar, en este participó el peso ligero Keith Hunter 15(9KO)-1, hermano del top 15 del peso pesado Michael Hunter e hijo de Mike Hunter, quien fue un buen peso crucero que sumó triunfos ante pugiles como Dwight Qawi, Pinklon Thomas u Oliver McCall. Regresando al presente, Keith Hunter se hizo con una clara victoria unánime (99-91 y doble 97-93) sobre su compatriota Demarius Driver 12(7KO)-1.
Inicialmente fue un combate bastante táctico, de bajo ritmo y con muchos amagos y estudio, por lo que Hunter pudo marcar la diferencia con fuertes pero muy aislados derechazos que estremecieron ligeramente a su contrincante. En ciertos momentos del duelo de astucias, Driver también llegó con secos jabs y ganchos de mano adelantada que no siempre fueron eludidos por un Hunter con reflejos y atento en defensa. No obstante, con el paso de los minutos la superioridad de Hunter se hizo más clara, ofreciendo cada vez más trabajo ofensivo.
En el octavo se alcanzó un punto de inflexión, ya que Driver quedó tocado por los golpes de poder en directo y gancho de su oponente, que se agarró pero que no pudo evitar quedar desgastado. A partir de entonces el dominio de Hunter fue evidente, lanzándose en ofensivas más agresivas, e incluso trabajando en corta, antes de poner en serios apuros en el último round a Driver, quien aun así alcanzó la campana final.

Durán took the center of the ring and the initiative, but did not find the way or the moment to effectively connect his shots, hesitating in front of the mobility of his opponent and showing slow legs and inadequate control of the distance. On the other hand, Moreno, although he does not have great power, constantly threw jabs and straight punches that, along with his agility, generated obvious problems to his rival.
In some exchanges Durán landed some straight right hands that seemed powerful but, without having regular success or consistent work, he continued to lose rounds until the end due to the punching frequency and the agility of Moreno, who was so motivated to achieve victory that towards the end even went on the attack, obtaining positive results.
Victory for Hunter
As for the co-main event, it featured the lightweight Keith Hunter 15(9KO)-1, brother of the heavyweight top 15 Michael Hunter and son of Mike Hunter, who was a good cruiserweight who obtained wins against fighters like Dwight Qawi, Pinklon Thomas or Oliver McCall. Returning to the present, Keith Hunter won a clear unanimous victory (99-91 and double 97-93) over his compatriot Demarius Driver 12(7KO)-1.
Initially it was a fairly tactical fight, slow paced and with a lot of feints and study, so Hunter was able to make the difference with strong but very isolated right hands that slightly shook his opponent. At certain points in the battle of astuteness, Driver also landed sharp jabs and lead hooks that weren’t always eluded by Hunter. However, as the minutes passed, Hunter’s superiority became clearer, offering more offensive work.
A turning point was reached in the eighth round, as Driver was hit by clear power shots from his opponent, needing to clinch but without being able to avoid get worn down. From then on Hunter’s dominance was evident, launching more aggressive offensives, and even working at close range, before putting Driver in serious trouble in the last round.
