En la Salle Pablo Neruda de Bobigny, Francia, el local Yazid Amghar 25(12KO)-0 y el español Frank Urquiaga 18(2KO)-3-1 pelearán por el vacante cinturón de la Unión Europea del peso ligero. Valorando la ventaja en experiencia de Urquiaga y sus meritorias actuaciones en el extranjero ante rivales de mayor nivel que Amghar, parece viable que el visitante pueda lograr ser superior. Sin embargo, habiendo padecido Urquiaga sus tres derrotas con controvertidos veredictos, y siendo Amghar un invicto que ha sido beneficiado por los jueces en un par de importantes ocasiones, a nadie le debería sorprender si el local logra una cuestionable victoria por decisión.
Por otro lado, en el Fantasy Springs Casino de Indio, Estados Unidos, DAZN ofrecerá por YouTube una velada menor de Golden Boy. En el combate estelar, el prospecto del peso gallo Manuel Flores 15(11KO)-0 disputará su primera pelea desde su controvertida victoria sobre Franklin González enfrentándose al estadounidense Walter Santibanes 11(2KO)-2, que aunque disputó cuatro combates en 2022 antes de esto pasó por una inactividad de siete años y medio.

En el Casino Buenos Aires de Buenos Aires, Argentina, TyC Sports televisará una interesante cartelera en la que dos destacados peso minimosca como el venezolano Carlos Cañizales 25(19KO)-1(1)-1 y el cubano Daniel Matellón 13(7KO)-0-2 pelearán en una eliminatoria WBA que convertirá al ganador en retador obligatorio del monarca unificado Kenshiro Teraji. Además, el combate responderá a la pregunta de a qué nivel puede rendir Cañizales después de su dura derrota ante Esteban Bermúdez y mostrará si Matellón al fin es capaz de ganar con claridad una pugna decisiva.
En el respaldo se producirá un bien emparejado duelo entre dos prospectos del peso medio como el olímpico argentino Francisco Daniel Verón 12(10KO)-0 y el ruso Timur Kerefov 13(7KO)-0 y el peso ligero venezolano Ender Luces 19(16KO)-0 disputará uno de sus dos mayores combates ante el fogueado argentino Javier Herrera 17(8KO)-7(1)-1.
El viernes también se desarrollará una velada de ShoBox: The New Generation desde el Turning Stone Resort & Casino de Verona, Estados Unidos. En el choque estelar, el insigne prospecto ruso del peso semipesado Ali Izmailov 10(7KO)-0 tratará de hacer una declaración de intenciones respecto a la amenaza que supone para la división enfrentándose al imbatido y zurdo estadounidense Charles Foster 22(12KO)-0, ante el que partirá como claro favorito.

En este viernes con un notable número de choques mencionables, también se producirá una velada de Frank Warren y BT Sport desde el York Hall de Londres, Reino Unido. At the Salle Pablo Neruda in Bobigny, France, local boxer Yazid Amghar 25(12KO)-0 and Spaniard Frank Urquiaga 18(2KO)-3-1 will fight for the vacant European Union lightweight belt. Taking into account Urquiaga’s advantage in experience and his meritorious performances abroad against higher level opponents than Amghar, it seems feasible that the visitor can be superior in the fight. However, considering that Urquiaga has suffered all three of his losses with controversial verdicts, and that Amghar is an undefeated who has been favored by the judges on a couple of important occasions, no one should be surprised if the home fighter pulls off a questionable decision win.
On the other hand, at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, United States, DAZN and YouTube will broadcast a lesser Golden Boy evening. In the main event, bantamweight prospect Manuel Flores 15(11KO)-0 will face his first bout since his controversial victory over Franklin González clashing against American Walter Santibanes 11(2KO)-2, who, although he fought four times in 2022, before that went through an inactivity of seven and a half years.
