Kenshiro Teraji y Jonathan González se podrían enfrentar en abril en triple unificación de cinturones mundiales

En las conversaciones que condujeron al evento encabezado por los choques Kenshiro Teraji vs. Hiroto Kyoguchi y Jonathan González vs. Shokichi Iwata ya se habló de que había un acuerdo, como mínimo verbal, para que los ganadores de los dos enfrentamientos se viesen las caras posteriormente en una triple unificación de cinturones mundiales WBA, WBC y WBO del peso minimosca. Pues bien, este enfrentamiento está ahora muy cerca de materializarse.
Según informó primero Jake Donovan, Teraji y González están a punto de alcanzar un acuerdo definitivo para enfrentarse en Japón en el mes de abril, aunque todavía está pendiente de escogerse un estadio para la pugna. Así, la perspectiva de que la división logre tener un campeón indiscutido a corto plazo cada vez resulta más probable, ya que después del choque Teraji-González al ganador sólo le restaría unificar con el titular IBF Sivenathi Nontshinga.
Por otro lado, el Teraji-González parece un buen choque entre dos boxeadores hábiles, pero con estilos muy diferentes. Al duelo Teraji entraría como favorito, puesto que en su última pelea hizo parecer fácil la completa destrucción de su máximo rival en la lucha por la hegemonía en el peso minimosca, el arriba citado Kyoguchi. En cuanto a González, su actuación ante Iwata fue muchísimo menos convincente, logrando finalmente una polémica victoria por decisión unánime y ridículas tarjetas a pesar de que se podía argumentar perfectamente a favor del triunfo del aspirante.

In the talks leading up to the event headlined by the fights Kenshiro Teraji vs. Hiroto Kyoguchi and Jonathan González vs. Shokichi Iwata it was already said that there was an agreement, at least verbally, so that the winners of the two clashes would face each other in a triple unification of the WBA, WBC and WBO light flyweight belts. Well, this bout between champions is now very close to materializing.
As first reported by Jake Donovan, Teraji and González are about to reach a definitive agreement to face each other in Japan in April, although an arena for the fight has not been decided yet. Thus, the prospect of the division having an undisputed champion in the short term is becoming more and more likely, since after the Teraji-González clash the winner would only have to unify with the IBF titleholder Sivenathi Nontshinga.
On the other hand, the Teraji-González looks like a good clash between two skilled boxers, but with very different styles. Teraji would enter the duel as a favorite, since in his last fight he completely neutralized and destroyed his greatest rival in the fight for hegemony at light flyweight, his aforementioned compatriot Kyoguchi. As for Gonzalez, his performance against Iwata was far less convincing, ultimately earning a controversial unanimous decision victory with ridiculous scorecards despite the fact that it could perfectly be argued in favor of the challenger’s win.
