Today, Matchroom Boxing has officially announced a new event broadcast by DAZN that will take place on October 29 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, United Kingdom. The main event will feature the iconic Irish Olympic gold medalist Katie Taylor 21(6KO)-0, who will put her undisputed lightweight title on the line for the first time since her fight against Amanda Serrano facing the undefeated Argentina super featherweight champion and South American titlist Karen Elizabeth “Burbuja” Carabajal 19(2KO)-0.

The co-feature will be a European featherweight championship in which the local beltholder Jordan “The Thrill” Gill 27(8KO)-1(1)-1, after brutally knocking out Karim Guerfi, will face Spaniard former world champion Kiko “La Sensación” Martínez 43(30KO)-11(5)-2, who will return to the United Kingdom seven months after losing his title to a very dirty Josh Warrington.

In addition to these two clashes, Irish super welterweight prospect Caoimhin “Black Thunder” Agyarko 12(7KO)-0 will face his biggest test to date against undefeated American Peter Dobson 16(9KO)-0, heavyweight Johnny “The Romford Bull” Fisher 6(5KO)-0 will fight against the Italian Alfonso Damiani 5(2KO)-2(1) and Irish lightweight Gary Cully 14(8KO)-0 will battle against an opponent to be confirmed.

In the official announcement, Katie Taylor said:

“It’s hard to believe it’s been almost six years since I made my pro debut there so it’s great to go back now and headline. It’s been an amazing journey so far but there are still lots of great fights out there for me and I’m excited about what’s still to come.”

For her part, Carabajal stated:

“I was very happy when I received the offer to challenge Katie. The hard work has paid off. I’m not thinking for a second about giving Katie a win. All the belts will come back to Argentina with me!”.
