Rikar Urrutia vs Saúl Luna II, un rematch con cuentas pendientes en Bilbao

En el respaldo del regreso de Kerman Lejarraga a La Casilla (Bilbao), Saúl Luna (7-2) ofrece la revancha a Rikar Urrutia (5-1) tras su victoria del pasado mes de mayo en el evento de Matchroom en la capital vizcaína.
Fue uno de los combates que abrió el evento de Matchroom en Bilbao el pasado mes de mayo. Fortuito, porque el vizcaíno entonces invicto Urrutia debiera de haberse enfrentado al también invicto navarro Ander Amatriain. Una lesión de última hora forzó la rápida búsqueda de un oponente digno. Y ahí estaba otro vecino de la capital vizcaína: Saúl Luna, entonces 6-2. Cerca, listo y con peligro.
Las circunstancias y los récords de ambos conducían al favoritismo de Urrutia. Pero el zurdo pupilo de José Baena en Otxarkoaga salió respondón. Dominó la primera mitad del combate pactado a 6 rondas y contragolpeó con muchísimo peligro cuando Urrutia atacó sin reservas. El pleito ofreció ritmo, emoción e intercambios de manos de mucha calidad, con un Luna que mostró buena capacidad para fintar y quitarse golpes y un Urrutia muy ofensivo.
El resultado final, con Luna con el brazo alto por decisión mayoritaria de los jueces, pudo resultar sorprendente a priori, pero no a quienes pudieron seguir el igualado choque. Ninguno ha subido al ring tras ese combate. El rematch de este interesantísima pelea de rivalidad local en el superligero será uno de los ingredientes del respaldo del regreso de Kerman Lejarraga al histórico Pabellón de La Casilla de Bilbao el próximo 12 de noviembre.

In support of Kerman Lejarraga’s return to La Casilla (Bilbao, Spain), Saúl Luna (7-2) offers the rematch to Rikar Urrutia (5-1) after his victory last May in the Matchroom event in the Biscayan capital.
It was one of the matches that opened the Matchroom card in Bilbao last May. Fortuitous, because the then undefeated Biscayan Urrutia should have faced the also undefeated Navarrese Ander Amatriain. A last minute injury forced a quick search for a worthy opponent. And there was another resident of the Biscayan capital: Saúl Luna, then 6-2. Close, ready and dangerous.
The circumstances and the records of both led to Urrutia being considered favorite. But the southpaw pupil of José Baena in Otxarkoaga was zappy. He dominated the first half of the 6-round fight and counterpunched dangerously when Urrutia went all out on the attack. The fight offered rhythm, emotion and high-quality exchanges, with Luna showing good ability to feint and avoid blows and a very offensive Urrutia.
The final result, with Luna with his arm raised by a majority decision of the judges, could have been surprising a priori, but not to those who were able to follow the even match. None of them have entered the ring after that fight. The rematch of this very interesting local rivalry in the super lightweight division will be one of the ingredients to support the return of Kerman Lejarraga to the historic Pabellón de La Casilla in Bilbao on November 12.
