Sin embargo, aunque dichas promotoras ofrecieron más de un millón de dólares cada una (TGB pujó 1.260.000 $) fueron sorprendentemente superadas por MarvNation Promotions, que propuso la enorme cantidad de 2.400.000 $.
Así, MarvNation ha irrumpido inesperadamente en la primera escena del boxeo internacional a través de la organización de un campeonato deportivamente muy interesante y que además podría ser clave para empezar a buscar un nuevo número 1 en la división en la era post-Taylor.
La subasta del Prograis-Zepeda no ha sido la única que se ha producido recientemente, ya que también se pujó por los derechos de organización de la eliminatoria IBF del peso semipesado entre Joshua Buatsi y Jean Pascal. Curiosamente, en esta también se produjo una sorpresa, ya que, aunque la todopoderosa Matchroom Boxing ofreció 875.000 $, se vio derrotada por DiBella Entertainment, que propuso ni más ni menos que 975.000 $.
