Teniendo en cuenta que la emisión del evento de Ural Boxing Promotions no fue por YouTube finalmente y que sólo se televisó una pequeña parte del cartel, lo lógico habría sido que al menos se arrancase con un combate interesante. Con todo, el semifondo del cartel fue un desniveladísimo choque en el que el peso semipesado ruso Artem Ageev 5(3KO)-0 no tuvo ni que esforzarse un poco para vencer en el primer round al argentino Diego Adrián “La Herradura” Marocchi 18(14KO)-8(7).
El zurdo Ageev presionó y con combinaciones de directo de izquierda-cruzado diestro y con curvos enlazados puso en el tapiz a Marocchi con menos de un minuto de pelea transcurrido. Era evidente que el combate no iba a ir a ningún lado y, tras un breve hostigamiento del ruso, con ganchos al cuerpo y cruzados al rostro Marocchi fue derribado por segunda vez y su esquina tiró la toalla. Curiosamente, el árbitro ignoró la reacción de la esquina visitante y continuó su cuenta hasta el final.
Ageev es un boxeador con buena carrera amateur, en la que fue oro europeo y sumó triunfos ante rivales como Pavel Silyagin, Vladimir Shishkin y Ali Izmailov, mientras que sus derrotas llegaron ante nombres como Dmitry Bivol o Evgeny Tishchenko. Por lo tanto, es innecesario que se le haga avanzar con tanto cuidado como profesional, habiéndose medido hasta ahora en el boxeo de pago, además de a Marocchi, a púgiles con récord negativo. Taking into account that the Ural Boxing Promotions event was not finally broadcast on YouTube and that only a small part of the card was televised, the logical thing would have been for it to start at least with an interesting fight. However, the co-feature of the bill was an absurd mismatch in which the Russian light heavyweight Artem Ageev 5(3KO)-0 did not even have to make an effort to beat the Argentinian Diego Adrián “La Herradura” Marocchi 18( 14KO)-8(7).
The southpaw Ageev pressed and, with combinations of hooks and straight left hands linked with right hooks, put Marocchi on the mat with less than a minute of the fight elapsed. It was clear that the bout was going nowhere and, after a brief attack from the Russian with hooks to the body and face, Marocchi was knocked down for a second time and his corner threw in the towel. Interestingly, the referee ignored the corner’s reaction and continued his count till the end.
Ageev is a boxer with good amateur career, in which he won an European gold medal and scored victories against rivals like Pavel Silyagin, Vladimir Shishkin and Ali Izmailov, while his losses came against names like Dmitry Bivol or Evgeny Tishchenko. Therefore, it is completely unnecessary for him to advance so carefully as a professional, having so far fought in the paid ranks, in addition to Marocchi, against fighters with negative record. Thus, the only thing that can be said for Ageev is that he needs to drastically increase the level of his opposition to show what he is capable of and to prepare for future significant fights.
