El olímpico Josh Kelly peleará contra el argentino Lucas Bastida el 30 de julio

Después de retornar al cuadrilátero el pasado 17 de junio, el olímpico británico Josh “PBK” Kelly 11(7KO)-1(1)-1 ya tiene fecha y adversario para su siguiente combate. El día 30 de julio, en el Vertu Motors Arena de Newcastle, Reino Unido, emitido por Channel 5, el peso superwélter Kelly se enfrentará al argentino Lucas “El Tornado” Bastida 18(10KO)-1(1)-1, campeón de Sudamérica del peso medio que no ha sufrido una derrota en sus últimos 16 enfrentamientos.
En el respaldo se producirá la tercera pelea pactada a diez rounds para el peso superligero Harlem Eubank 14(6KO)-0, que será amplísimo favorito para derrotar a Tom Farrell 21(5KO)-5(1).
En el anuncio oficial, Kelly dijo lo siguiente sobre su oponente:
“Es un duro sudamericano que tiene mucha experiencia para un boxeador de 25 años. Que sólo tenga una derrota en su récord muestra cómo de duro es, no hay duda de que vendrá a ganar. Es alguien que me dará los rounds difíciles que necesito para volver a la conversación para grandes combates y títulos importantes. Por mi parte es prácticamente lo mismo: voy a mostrar mi clase y voy a buscar deshacerme de él, 100%”.
Por su parte, Bastida señaló:
“Josh Kelly tiene experiencia olímpica, es un buen boxeador y muy rápido. Vi en su combate contra Avanesyan que le derribaron y que entonces le ganaron por detención, así que pienso que la clave para la victoria será ir a la guerra desde el principio del combate. Para mí esta es mi primera pelea en el extranjero, soy un guerrero en la vida así que iré a la guerra tan pronto como la campana suene”.

After returning to the ring on June 17, British Olympian Josh “PBK” Kelly 11(7KO)-1(1)-1 already has a date and opponent for his next fight. On July 30, at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle, United Kingdom, broadcast by Channel 5, the super welterweight Kelly will face the Argentinian Lucas «El Tornado» Bastida 18(10KO)-1(1)-1, South American middleweight champion who hasn’t suffered a loss in his last 16 matches.
In the support will take place the third fight scheduled for ten rounds for the super lightweight Harlem Eubank 14(6KO)-0, who will be wide favorite to defeat Tom Farrell 21(5KO)-5(1).
In the official announcement, Kelly said about his opponent:
“He is a tough South American who has plenty of experience for a fighter who is 25-years-old. To only have one loss on his record shows how tough he is, there’s no doubt he’ll be coming to win. He’s someone who is going to give me the hard rounds I need to get back into the mix for big fights and major titles. It’s very much the same from me though – I’m coming to show my class and I’ll be looking to get him out, 100%.”
For his part, Bastida stated:
“Josh Kelly has Olympic experience, he’s a good boxer and very fast. I saw in his fight against Avanesyan that he got knocked down, and then he got stopped, so I think the key to victory will be to go to war from the beginning of the fight. For me this is my first fight abroad, I’m a warrior in life so I’ll be going to war as soon as the bell rings”.
