Diego Pacheco venció al “Príncipe” Ortega. “Panterita” Martínez debutó con victoria

Aunque fue su primer combate pactado a diez asaltos, al peso supermedio estadounidense Diego Pacheco 15(12KO)-0 le sobraron cinco rounds para derrotar al voluntarioso mexicano Raúl “El Príncipe” Ortega 10(7KO)-3(1) en el respaldo del evento Kyoguchi-Bermúdez.
La potencia y la precisión del invicto fueron demasiado para Ortega, que en el primer asalto fue golpeado por repetidos uno-dos y ganchos zurdos hasta que una derecha descendente le puso en el tapiz. Ya en el segundo asalto, “El Príncipe” tuvo su mayor éxito en el combate cuando dañó con un cruzado diestro a Pacheco, pero éste sobrellevó los breves malos momentos y posteriormente se anotó un nuevo knockdown: evitando una mano diestra, Pacheco conectó un duro gancho al hígado que puso de rodillas a Ortega.
Pese a las dificultades, el mexicano siguió en el combate, hizo todo lo que pudo por trabajar e incluso impactó un buen uppercut diestro en el tercer round, si bien en general el prospecto impuso su alcance a través de directos y su astucia en el golpeo en corta hasta que en el final del cuarto episodio Ortega volvió a ser puesto en apuros por derechazos y renunció a continuar en el quinto asalto.
Victoria de “Panterita” Martínez
El debut profesional del prospecto estadounidense del peso gallo Jesús “Panterita” Martínez 1(0KO)-0 perfectamente podría haber terminado en un knockout en el primer episodio. Sin embargo, Martínez finalmente tuvo que llegar a la distancia en su pelea a cuatro rounds sobre el mexicano Daniel Núñez 1(0KO)-2, a quien superó por decisión unánime y puntuaciones de doble 40-35 y un 40-36.
En dos ocasiones Martínez conectó fuertes manos diestras en el round inicial, una de las cuales estremeció seriamente a Núñez y la otra, algo más tarde y a la contra, le derribó. Aun así, y aunque Núñez volvió a ser sacudido por un cruzado diestro en el segundo asalto, éste resistió los puños más duros de su rival, un Martínez que presionó con calma y manos escogidas hasta que terminó perdiendo la iniciativa y acabó ganando los asaltos caminando, jabeando y sacando alguna contra aislada o breves combinaciones.

Although it was his first ten-round bout, American super middleweight Diego Pacheco 15(12KO)-0 needed just five rounds to defeat the willful Mexican Raúl “El Príncipe” Ortega 10(7KO)-3(1) in the support of the event Kyoguchi-Bermúdez.
The power and precision of the undefeated were too much for Ortega, who in the first round was hit by repeated one-twos and left hooks until a right hand put him on the mat. In the second round, «El Principe» had his biggest success in the bout when he hurt Pacheco with a right hook, but the undefeated dealt with the brief problems and later scored a new knockdown: avoiding a right hand, Pacheco landed a hard hook to the liver that made Ortega kneel.
Despite the difficulties, the Mexican continued in the fight, did everything he could to work and even landed a good right uppercut in the third round. However, in general the prospect imposed his reach through straight punches and his cunning in close range until, at the end of the fourth round, Ortega was put in trouble again by several right hands and renounced to continue at the start of the fifth round.
Victory for «Panterita» Martínez
The professional debut of the American bantamweight prospect Jesus “Panterita” Martinez 1(0KO)-0 could very well have ended in a first-round knockout. However, Martinez finally had to go to the judges scorecards in his four-round fight over Mexican Daniel Núñez 1(0KO)-2, whom he outpointed by unanimous decision (double 40-35 and one 40-36)
Martinez landed two strong right overhands in the opening round, one of which rocked Núñez and the other, a little later, knocked him down. Even so, and although Núñez was again shook by a right hand in the second round, he withstood the punishment from Martínez, who pressed calmly and with chosen punches until he ended up losing the initiative and then imposed his boxing moving, jabbing and landing some isolated hands or short combinations.
