Michael Conlan sin daños graves tras el duro knockout padecido

Sobre el ring del Notthingham Arena hubo anoche más caras de preocupación que de alegría tras el final del choque estelar, puesto que el derrotado Michael Conlan había padecido un sobrecogedor knockout que le sacó fuera del ring y que le dejó inconsciente durante varios minutos. A pesar de la intranquilidad que generó el final del combate, el boxeador no corre peligro ni ha padecido daños graves.
Primeramente un alto cargo de Matchoom Boxing, Frank Smith, explicó que Conlan había llegado al hospital consciente y estable, mientras que más tarde, en la madrugada en hora británica, el púgil publicó en su cuenta de Instagram las siguientes palabras:
“Estoy bien, simplemente me están revisando en el hospital. En el TAC está todo bien. Felicidades a Leigh Wood, felicidades a su equipo, fue el mejor golpe de la noche con el que me alcanzó al final. Pero es lo que hay, volveré”.
Finalmente, el boxeador señaló también a través de su cuenta de Twitter entre risas que deseaba una revancha, por lo que parece que todo está bien y que, pese al susto, afortunadamente no será ni mucho menos la última vez que veremos a Conlan sobre un ring.

Last night, in the ring at Nottingham Arena, there were more faces of concern than of joy after the end of the main clash, since the defeated Michael Conlan suffered a very hard knockout that took him out of the ring and left him unconscious for several minutes. Despite the uneasiness that generated the ending of the fight, the boxer is not in danger and has not been seriously injured.
Firstly, Matchoom Boxing’s executive, Frank Smith, explained that Conlan had arrived at the hospital conscious and stable, while some time later, in early hours of Sunday in British time, the boxer posted the following words on his Instagram account:
“I’m all good, I’m just getting checked up in the hospital. The CT scan is all clear. Congrats to Leigh Wood, congrats to his team, that was the best shot of the night he got me with at the end. But it is what it is, I’ll be back.”
Finally, the Irish fight also added through his Twitter account that he wanted a rematch, so it seems that everything is fine and that, despite the scare, fortunately it will not be the last time we see Conlan in a ring.
