Después de tantos años de espera de los aficionados, al fin, Amir Khan y Kell Brook estuvieron frente a frente en el pesaje un día antes del enfrentamiento, pactado dos libras (900 gramos) por encima del peso wélter [66,7 kg o 147 lb], que sostendrán en el Arena de Manchester, Reino Unido. Había ciertas dudas sobre si Brook lograría cumplir con el límite acordado, si bien dio una cifra correcta de 67,3 kg (148,5 lb). Por su parte, Khan detuvo la romana en sólo 66,8 kg (147,5 lb), así que ya no habrán más barreras que superar antes de que ambos traten de zanjar sobre el ring su competencia.
En el semifondo se producirá el mundial WBO por el vacante cinturón del peso superwélter [69,9 kg o 154 lb] entre las coaspirantes Natasha Jonas y Chris Namús, quienes también dieron cifras válidas. La británica Jonas detuvo la romana en 67,7 kg (149,5 lb), mientras que la uruguaya Namús dio una libra más con 68,2 kg (150,5 lb).

After so many years of waiting from the fans, at last, Amir Khan and Kell Brook were face to face at the weigh-in one day before the clash, agreed two pounds (900 grams) over welterweight limit [66.7 kg or 147 lb], that they will have at the Manchester Arena, United Kingdom. There was some questions as to whether Brook would make weight, although he stopped the scale at 67.3 kg (148.5 lb). For his part, Khan weighed only 66.8 kg (147.5 lb), so there will be no more barriers to overcome before both try to settle their competition in the ring tomorrow.
As a co-feature will take place the WBO world championship bout for the vacant super welterweight belt [69.9 kg or 154 lb] between co-challengers Natasha Jonas and Chris Namús. The British boxer Jonas weighed 67.7 kg (149.5 lb), while Uruguayan Namús tipped the scale at 68.2 kg (150.5 lb).
This event will be broadcasted in the United Kingdom on a Sky PPV from 6:00 p.m., and in the United States on ESPN+ from 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 PT.
