El momento más impactante de la jornada del viernes se produjo en Argentina, donde el monarca nacional del peso semipesado Franco “El León” Acosta 11(8KO)-0 retuvo su corona con un fantástico knockout en el tercer round sobre el aspirante Néstor “El Rey” Campos 5(4KO)-3(1), quien hasta entonces había ofrecido una actuación llena de tesón.
Efectivamente, después de los tanteos iniciales, Campos sacó con peligro su mano diestra en directo y gancho para presionar y alcanzar al espigado Acosta. En el segundo round, en el que hubo que hacer una pausa para sustituir el guante izquierdo del campeón (el propio púgil advirtió al árbitro de que su pulgar sobresalía del guante), Acosta intentó hacerse respetar más con su jab y sus ganchos abajo, pero Campos no se amedrentó y en el tercer episodio volvió a la carga con agresivos ataques en la distancia media-corta.
Entonces, después de que el invicto ya hubiese realizado algunas buenas acciones elusivas, Acosta efectuó una esquiva de cintura hacia su izquierda inmediatamente sucedida por un brutal hook de mano adelantada que arrojó desarbolado sobre el tapiz a Campos. Éste intentó levantarse, pero no podía continuar y el árbitro detuvo la cuenta y decretó el KOT.

Friday’s most shocking moment took place in Argentina, where national light heavyweight champion Franco “El León” Acosta 11(8KO)-0 retained his crown with a fantastic third-round knockout over the challenger Néstor “El Rey” Campos 5(4KO)-3(1), who until then had offered a performance full of tenacity.
Indeed, in the first round Campos dangerously threw his right hand in straight and hook to pressure and hit the tall Acosta. In the second round, in which a pause had to be made to replace the champion’s left glove (the boxer himself warned the referee that his thumb had pierced the glove), Acosta tried to hold his ground more with his jab and his hooks down, but Campos was not intimidated and in the third round he returned to charge with aggressive attacks in mid-close range.
Then, after the undefeated had already performed some good elusive good actions, Acosta executed a waist dodge immediately followed by a brutal left hook that sent Campos sprawling to the mat. The boxer tried to get up, but he could not continue and the referee stopped the count and the fight.
