Después del tramo inicial del cartel de RCC Boxing, llegó el turno de que saltasen al ring tres invictos con proyección, siendo uno de ellos el peso pesado, oro mundial juvenil, Evgeny Romanov 18(12KO)-0, que superó por decisión al excampeón de África y de Sudáfrica Chris “Wolf” Thompson 12(7KO)-4(2)-1.
El zurdo Thompson intentó moverse constantemente por el ring para no dar facilidades para que su oponente causase estragos con su pegada, pero Romanov calmadamente fue escogiendo duros y eficaces directos diestros y ganchos zurdos aislados que amenazaron con romper la resistencia de su oponente. De todos modos, Thompson soportó bien las manos recibidas y tardó en cansarse pese a su movilidad, lanzando incluso entonces rectos y contragolpes cruzados que llegaron contra el local y le obligaron a mantenerse atento. Así, y no contando Romanov con gran fondo físico, el ruso no pudo intensificar sus acciones en el tramo final para explotar la reducción en dinamismo de Thompson, por lo que la pugna llegó a decisión.
Pasando al destacado prospecto del peso superligero Khariton Agrba 11(7KO)-0, éste controló totalmente al campeón nacional sudafricano Prince Dlomo 16(6KO)-12(4)-1 antes de derribarlo cuatro veces y anotarse un knockout en el sexto round.
Desde el comienzo Dlomo se vio en inferioridad ante el zurdo Agrba, que usó combinaciones jab-uppercut, jab-gancho y uno-dos entre continuos y precisos cambios de línea de ataque para conectar muchos golpes de poder en poco tiempo. Así, aunque Dlomo habitualmente es un boxeador competente, en esta ocasión pronto se convirtió en poco más que un saco de boxeo, y a duras penas encontraba momentos para sacar golpes que eran bloqueados o errados. Por ello, aunque Dlomo no tiene mal encaje, en el quinto round fue derribado tres veces (en dos de ellas por directos), y en el sexto episodio una combinación de directos le hizo escuchar en la lona la cuenta completa.
En cuanto al muy prometedor peso supermedio ruso Pavel Silyagin 13(6KO)-0 reaccionó inmediatamente y con mucha dureza a ciertos éxitos iniciales del colombiano Leonard Carrillo 16(15KO)-5(3), que no pudo lograr su segunda victoria contra pronóstico seguida y fue derribado tres veces con cuenta antes de una derrota por knockout en el cuarto round.
En el primer round Silyagin tuvo algunas dificultades con la izquierda recta del zurdo Carrillo, y de hecho pareció sufrir un knockdown al caer cuando retrocedía intentando evitar un directo al cuerpo (aunque no hubo cuenta). Con todo, la respuesta del ruso no se hizo esperar, ya que en el segundo round derribó en tres ocasiones a Carrillo: una con combinación gancho zurdo-directo diestro, otra con cruzado zurdo y una más sin cuenta con una serie que hizo caer sobre las cuerdas al visitante. Además, en el tercer round Silyagin tumbó otra vez a su adversario con su característico golpe mezcla de jab y de cruzado zurdo. La pugna llegó al cuarto episodio, pero entonces el ruso llevó al knockout a Carrillo con un seco cruzado de izquierda en un intercambio.

After the initial stretch of the RCC Boxing card, it was the turn of three undefeated fighters with projection to step into the ring, one of them being heavyweight, youth world gold medalist, Evgeny Romanov 18(12KO)-0, who defeated by decision former African and South African titlist Chris “Wolf” Thompson 12(7KO)-4(2)-1.
The southpaw Thompson tried to move constantly around the ring to avoid making things easy for his powerful opponent, but Romanov calmly selected hard, effective and isolated straight right hands and left hooks that threatened to break his opponent’s resistance. In any case, Thompson withstood the shots very well and, despite his mobility, got tired late, throwing even then straight punches and lead hooks that landed against the local and forced him to stay wary. Thus, and Romanov not having great stamina, the Russian could not intensify his actions in the final stretch to exploit Thompson’s reduction in mobility, so the fight reached a decision.
Moving on to super lightweight Khariton Agrba 11(7KO)-0, he totally dominated South African national champion Prince Dlomo 16(6KO)-12(4)-1 before dropping him four times and scoring a sixth-round knockout.
From the start Dlomo was inferior to the southpaw Agrba, who used jab-uppercut, jab-hook and one-two combinations between continuous and precise changes of the line of attack to land a lot of power shots in a short time. So while Dlomo is usually a competent fighter, this time around he soon became little more than a punching bag, barely finding moments to throw punches that were blocked or missed. For this reason, although Dlomo does not have a bad chin, in the fifth round he was knocked down three times (two of them by left hands), and in the sixth episode a combination of straight shots made him listen the full count on the canvas.
As for the very promising Russian super middleweight Pavel Silyagin 13(6KO)-0, he reacted immediately to some early successes by Colombian Leonard Carrillo 16(15KO)-5(3), who was unable to achieve his second upset victory in a row and suffered three knockdowns before a fourth-round knockout defeat.
In the first round Silyagin had some difficulties with the straight lefts from the southpaw Carrillo, and actually appeared to be knocked down as he backed away trying to avoid a left hand to the body (although there was no count). However, the Russian’s response was immediate, since in the second round he dropped Carrillo three times: one with a right hand-left hook combination, another with a lead hook and one more (without count) with a series of punches that made the visitor fall on the ropes. In addition, in the third round Silyagin knocked down his opponent again with his signature punch, a mix between jab and left hook. The fight reached the fourth round, but then the Russian knocked out Carrillo with a sharp left hook in an exchange.
