Hace unos días la WBA otorgó la etiqueta de eliminatoria oficial del peso ligero [61,2 kg o 135 lb] al duelo entre Joseph Díaz y William Zepeda, aunque es sorprendente que este premio se le otorgue a una pelea que ni siquiera se disputa en el techo de la citada división, sino que está pactada tres libras (1,4 kg) por encima. Sea como sea, Díaz y Zepeda cumplieron con lo acordado en el contrato, dando respectivamente 62,4 kg (137,6 lb) y 62,1 kg (137 lb).
En cuanto al campeonato mundial IBF del peso mosca [50,8 kg o 112 lb], Leonela Yúdica y Arely Muciño pararon la báscula también en cifras adecuadas de 50,5 kg (111,4 lb) y 50,8 kg (112 lb).
En principio, la emisión de DAZN sólo contará con dos combates más. Uno será el choque del peso wélter [66,7 kg o 147 lb] entre Alexis Rocha y Jesús Antonio Pérez, que marcaron respectivamente 66,4 kg (146,4 lb) y 66,6 kg (146,8 lb), mientras que el otro será el choque del peso supergallo [55,3 kg o 122 lb] entre Héctor Valdez, que pesó 55,1 kg (121,4 lb), y Max Ornelas, que dio 54,7 kg (120,6 lb).
Estos cuatro duelos serán ofrecidos por DAZN a partir de las 2:00 de la madrugada en hora española, las 20:00 ET/17:00 PT.

A few days ago the WBA confirmed that the duel between Joseph Díaz and William Zepeda was going to be a lightweight [61.2 kg or 135 lb] eliminator. However, it is surprising that a fight that will not even take place in the aforementioned division’s limit, but that is agreed three pounds (1.4 kg) above lightweight, could be considered an eliminator for that weight class. Be that as it may, Díaz and Zepeda complied with the contracted weigh limit, tipping the scale respectively at 62.4 kg (137.6 lb) and at 62.1 kg (137 lb).
As for the IBF world flyweight [50.8 kg or 112 lb] championship, Leonela Yúdica and Arely Muciño stopped the scale at 50.5 kg (111.4 lb) and at 50.8 kg (112 lb).
In principle, the DAZN broadcast will only have two more matches. One will be the welterweight clash [66.7 kg or 147 lb] between Alexis Rocha and Jesús Antonio Pérez, who were 66.4 kg (146.4 lb) and 66.6 kg (146.8 lb) respectively, while the other will be the super bantamweight [55.3 kg or 122 lb] bout between Héctor Valdez, who weighed in at 55.1 kg (121.4 lb), and Max Ornelas, who weighed in at 54.7 kg (120.6 lb ).
These four duels will be offered by DAZN starting at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, 1:00 a.m. UK time.
