Actualmente el peso medio es una división estancada, que no tiene una gran profundidad en cuanto a boxeadores de élite y en cuyo top 15 hay púgiles perfectamente batibles, algo que parece que el equipo del exaspirante mundial Vincent Feigenbutz 35(31KO)-3(3) tiene claro y que piensa aprovechar. Así, descendiendo desde el peso supermedio, el pegador alemán lleva ya cuatro triunfos consecutivos y se encamina hacia una pelea importante a la vez que se acerca hacia al top 5 de los rankings IBF y WBO, algo a lo que contribuirá su victoria por knockout en el cuarto asalto sobre el encajador argentino Diego “El Chacarero” Ramirez 24(6KO)-9(2)-1.
Durante los dos primeros asaltos, el zurdo Ramírez generó obstáculos tácticos para Feigenbutz, puesto que moviéndose, usando sus rectos con intención disuasoria y contragolpeando las entradas del local con su gancho de mano adelantada acompañado de paso lateral, no permitió que el local pudiese dejar volar sus golpes de poder apoyando su peso en los pies. Sin embargo, desde el tercer round Feigenbutz comenzó a encontrar la manera de poner brevemente en las cuerdas a su rival y descargar sus puños, lo que, teniendo en cuenta su gran pegada, no tardó en tener efectos decisivos.
En el cuarto round un directo de mano adelantada al torso dañó a Ramírez, que seguidamente fue hostigado por más hooks. Con un agarre “El Chacarero” ganó unos segundos, pero poco después fue alcanzado por un peligroso hook diestro a la cabeza y por un nuevo directo zurdo al cuerpo que le hizo quedar de rodillas dolorido durante la cuenta completa del árbitro.
Se pueden decir bastantes cosas negativas del boxeo de Feigenbutz que, entre otras cosas, no tiene un gran juego de piernas ni una buena gestión de los espacios. Con todo, contrariamente a lo que piensan algunos, su potencia de golpeo es muy notable, y realmente con ella le bastaría para tener serias opciones de triunfo ante muchos de los actuales clasificados en la división, sobre todo habiendo bastantes ranqueados con mucha menos pegada y con fallos técnico-tácticos equiparables a los suyos.

Quite a few negative things can be said about Feigenbutz’s boxing, because, among other things, doesn’t have great footwork or good control of distance. However, contrary to what some think, his striking power is very remarkable, and simply by it he has serious chances of winning against many of the boxers currently ranked, especially taking into account that several of them are much less powerful and have technical-tactical flaws comparable to his.
