The main event of the evening of this Saturday Matchroom Boxing and DAZN card will go ahead, although one of the boxers will have a weight advantage. For a super flyweight clash [52.2 kg or 115 lb], Román González stopped the scale at 52.1 kg (114.8 lb), but Julio César Martínez weighed in 53.1 kg (117.0 lb) in his first attempt. Two hours later, Martínez returned to the scale still over the weight limit: 52.8 kg (116.4 lb).

Considering that Martinez was moving up from flyweight, that he tested positive for clenbuterol in the past, and that he is part of the Reynoso gym, where its members always seem to be looking for a way to have an illicit edge, there is a lot of criticism against the Mexican boxer. Some point out that he is a very unprofessional fighter while others affirm that he failed on purpose to have an advantage.

The main card broadcasted by DAZN will have three other confrontations. The co-feature will be the featherweight [57.2 kg or 126 lb] clash between Mauricio Lara and Emilio Sánchez, boxers who both weighed 57.2 kg (126 lb).

Before this match will take place the lightweight [61.2 kg or 135 lb] fight between Ángel Fierro and Juan Carlos Burgos, who tipped the scale, respectively, at 61.1 kg (134.6 lb) and 60.9 kg (134.2lbs). The main card will start with a super welterweight fight [69.9 kg or 154 lb], duel for which Souleymane Cissokho weighed 69.8 kg (153.8 lb) and Roberto Valenzuela Jr. weighed 69.9 kg (154 lb).

This event will be broadcasted on DAZN from 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
