Se suponía que este viernes se iba a producir en Tailandia una pelea del exretador mundial indonesio Daud Yordan, si bien su duelo ante Panya Uthok (sustituto del rival original Hwang Kill Kim) finalmente no se produjo. En su lugar, y como combate principal de la cartelera, se desarrolló otro choque Indonesia vs. Tailandia entre el invicto pegador del peso pluma Ongen Saknosiwi 9(8KO)-0 y el local Rattakorn Tassaworn 13(8KO)-5(5)-1 pugna que se resolvió con victoria del primero en el cuarto asalto.
Tassaworn optó por ceder la iniciativa y boxear desde la distancia larga, moviéndose para tratar de evitar la potencia del potente Saknosiwi. Aun así, tanto mientras intentaba abrir el ring como cuando buscaba atacar impactando sus rectos, el tailandés recibió algunas amenazadoras manos en gancho zurdo o cruzado diestro por parte de Saknosiwi. El acierto del invicto iba cada vez a más, llegando en el segundo round con un directo diestro que sacudió la cabeza de su oponente, que seguía caminando y buscando esporádicos ataques pero que cada vez parecía tener sobre sí mayor peligro, destacando los ganchos al torso que recibía en creciente número.
Poco a poco, Tassaworn se vio desgastado y situado cada vez en más posiciones estáticas, exponiéndose por lo tanto a nuevos golpes de poder del indonesio, que le acechaba tratando de generar daños decisivos. Así, en el tercer asalto Saknosiwi impactó un gancho al hígado que dejó tocado al visitante, que cayó poco después por un directo diestro. Tassaworn se puso en pie y con acciones defensivas logró soportar el round ante un Saknosiwi que le presionó sin prisas en la reanudación.
Con todo, en el cuarto asalto el imbatido Saknosiwi aceleró sus acciones y atacó con directos enlazados con uppercuts y ganchos antes de que un hook al hígado dejase tendido a su rival sin posibilidad de continuar.
La captura de un título menor WBC podría llevar a Saknosiwi a la parte baja del largo ranking de este organismo, si bien lo más importante ahora mismo para el púgil es que con este encuentro puso fin a más de dos años de inactividad. En el enfrentamiento, nuevamente, no tuvo un adversario demasiado exigente, debiendo esperar a nuevas subidas al ring para encontrarse con tests más significativos. De todos modos, sí mostró que, pese a la inactividad, está en gran estado de forma, que es un combatiente sólido y con evidentes aptitudes para el boxeo ofensivo y que tiene el potencial para ofrecer choques entretenidos.

A new fight for Indonesian, former world title challenger, Daud Yordan was supposed to take place in Thailand this Friday, although his duel against Panya Uthok (substitute of Hwang Kill Kim) ultimately did not take place. As the new main fight of the card was put another Indonesia vs. Thailand match between the featherweight puncher Ongen Saknosiwi 9(8KO)-0 and the local Rattakorn Tassaworn 13(8KO)-5(5)-1, fight that ended with victory of the undefeated in the fourth round.
Tassaworn decided to give up the initiative and box from long range, moving to try to avoid the powerful Saknosiwi. Still, when he tried to move or attacked with straight punches the Thai received some threatening hooks from Saknosiwi. The successes of the undefeated were getting better and better, connecting in the second round a right hand that shook his opponent’s head. Tassaworn kept walking and looking for sporadic attacks but seemed to be in greater danger every time, as he received hooks to the body in increasing numbers.
Little by little, Tassaworn was tiring and was put in more static positions, thus exposing himself to new power shots from the Indonesian, who was trying to generate decisive damage. In the third round Saknosiwi impacted a hook to the liver that hurt his rival, who fell shortly afterwards due to a straight right hand. Tassaworn stood up and with defensive actions managed to resist the round, as Saknosiwi pressed him unhurriedly in the restart.
However, in the fourth round the undefeated Saknosiwi sped up his actions and attacked with straight shots combined with uppercuts and hooks before a hook to the liver sent to the canvas his rival, who was then unable to continue.
The conquest of a minor WBC belt could put Saknosiwi in the low part of the long ranking of this organization, although the most important thing right now for the fighter is that with this match he ended more than two years of inactivity. In the confrontation, again, he did not have a very demanding opponent in front of him, and he will have to wait for new bouts to have more significant tests. Still, he did show that, despite the inactivity, he is in great shape, that he is a solid fighter with obvious aptitude for offensive boxing and that he has the potential to deliver entertaining matches.
