Every week Probellum continues to grow and grow either with signings or with promotional alliances. A few hours ago has been announced a new agreement that is one of the most important that the company has reached so far. It has been confirmed that Probellum has started a collaboration with Lou DiBella’s company, Dibella Entertainment, in which they will co-promote certain boxers and work to develop grassroot boxing.

It is true that in recent times DiBella has not had the power that he had in the past, especially for not being tied to any media group. However, he has been involved in major events, has a strong network of contacts, and has some prominent fighters on his stable, including unified lightweight champion George Kambosos. Therefore, his agreement with Probellum seems a great opportunity for both parties to expand their potential and influence and try to fulfill their goal of changing boxing in a crucial way.

In the official announcement, Probellum’s president Richard Schaefer noted:

“Today is a landmark day for Probellum. I am delighted to be able to formally announce our strategic partnership deal with the great Lou DiBella. Lou and I have known and worked together for many years and his influence and reputation in boxing needs little explanation.
He has led great change in the past and alongside the excellent team we are building at Probellum, I have every confidence that we will be able to create a new era for our sport.”

DiBella also expressed his opinion that, alongside Probellum, they will be able to change boxing decisively:

“Boxing has to change. For too long, self-interest and politics have got in the way of what the fighters and the fans really want – the best against the best, in locations all around the world. I have been very vocal about the need to transform our sport and I am so pleased to have found people who share that vision and are taking significant steps to make it a reality. Probellum is the only business in the market with the vision and strategy to disrupt boxing’s status quo on a truly global scale and I didn’t hesitate to begin collaborating when they called. Change is coming and we’re ready to go.”
