Aplazado por lesión Charlo-Castaño II. La WBO da un día para alegar contra defensa obligatoria de Castaño ante Tim Tszyu

Los hechos se han sucedido rápidamente en un pequeño margen de tiempo y en unas horas se ha pasado de tener una unificación total pactada en el calendario a que los protagonistas de ella se vean en la posición de quizás tener que encarar defensas obligatorias por separado.
Primeramente fue dado a conocer que el monarca WBO superwélter Brian Castaño había padecido un desgarro en uno de sus bíceps, por lo que no podía mantenerse en pie la fecha del 19 de marzo para la pugna de revancha por la corona indiscutida del peso superwélter entre el citado púgil argentino y el estadounidense Jermell Charlo. Posteriormente, muy poco después de la confirmación de esta noticia, el equipo del retador obligatorio WBO Tim Tszyu intervino.
En una carta oficial emitida por la WBO, el organismo explica que TGB Promotions (compañía satélite de Premier Boxing Champions) le notificó al promotor de Tim Tszyu que el duelo Charlo-Castaño II iba a ser reubicado para el mes de mayo o junio. Con todo, dado que ni Tszyu ni su equipo deseaban volver a ver aplazado su asalto titular le reclamaron formalmente a la WBO la ejecución de la defensa obligatoria contra Castaño.
Como respuesta a esta petición, la WBO ha dado un plazo de 24 horas para que TGB Promotions y las partes implicadas en el Charlo-Castaño den motivos para alegar en contra de la defensa obligatoria Castaño-Tszyu. En el caso de que las justificaciones no sean suficientes, la defensa mandatoria será ordenada de forma inmediata, cosa que tendría consecuencias también para Charlo, que se vería obligado a encarar a continuación su puesta en juego oficial IBF contra Bakhram Murtazaliev.

The events have happened quickly in a short time frame and in a few hours a total unification agreed on the calendar has been postponed and their protagonists are in position of maybe having to face mandatory defenses separately.
First, it was announced that the WBO super welterweight champion Brian Castaño had suffered a tear in one of his biceps, so it has been necessary to change the March 19 date for the fight for the undisputed super welterweight crown between the mentioned Argentine boxer and the American Jermell Charlo. Subsequently, very shortly after this news was confirmed, the team of WBO mandatory challenger Tim Tszyu stepped in.
In an official letter issued by the WBO, the organization explains that TGB Promotions (a satellite company of Premier Boxing Champions) notified Tim Tszyu’s promoter that the Charlo-Castaño II was going to be rescheduled for the month of May or June. However, since neither Tszyu nor his team wanted to see his world title fight postponed again, they formally demanded the WBO to proceed with Castaño’s mandatory defense.
In response to this request, the WBO has given a period of 24 hours for TGB Promotions and the parties involved in the Charlo-Castaño to show cause against the mandatory fight Castaño-Tszyu. In the event that the justifications are not sufficient, the mandatory defense will be ordered immediately, which would also have consequences for Charlo, who would then be forced to face his official IBF challenger Bakhram Murtazaliev.
