El insigne prospecto semipesado Ali Izmailov se enfrentará al invicto Charles Foster en velada de ShoBox

La serie de eventos ShoBox: The New Generation ha confirmado que el día 9 de junio, como parte de la celebración del fin de semana de las inclusiones en el Salón de la Fama, ofrecerá una nueva velada desde el Turning Stone Resort & Casino de Verona, Estados Unidos. En esta ocasión el combate estelar contará con el insigne prospecto ruso del peso semipesado Ali Izmailov, que disputará un buen test ante el estadounidense Charles Foster.
Aunque evidentemente Izmailov, que tuvo gran carrera amateur y que como profesional está mostrando tener un muy prometedor futuro, partirá como favorito, este parece un encuentro interesante para su desarrollo, ya que se medirá a un púgil invicto, más alto que él, zurdo y con notable experiencia amateur. De ese modo, dependiendo de qué tipo de actuación ofrezca Izmailov se podrá empezar a evaluar seriamente cuánto tardará en llegar a las peleas en la cima de la división.
También se desarrollará en el peso semipesado el choque de semifondo, ya que el estadounidense Richard Vansiclen se medirá en dicha división al colombiano Juan Carrillo. De entrada podría parecer que Vansiclen es el favorito, pero teniendo en cuenta que llega de un empate ante Manuel Gallegos y que se enfrentará a un olímpico con buena pegada como Carrillo, realmente es muy posible que el visitante logre el triunfo si ofrece lo que se espera de él.
Por último, la cartelera televisada se abrirá con un combate del peso superligero en el que el estadounidense Mykquan Williams pondrá a prueba su desarrollo ante su compatriota Ryan Martin. Aunque Williams se mantiene imbatido, ha tenido varios combates trabajados y con cartulinas ajustadas, por lo que su encuentro ante Martin, que sólo ha perdido contra Josh Taylor y Robert Easter y que dio positivo en control antidopaje por dos sustancias, se presenta como un duro reto y una prueba de fuego.

Showtime has confirmed that on June 9, as part of the festivities of the Hall of Fame Weekend, it will offer a new ShoBox: The New Generation evening from the Turning Stone Resort & Casino of Verona, USA. On this occasion, the main event will feature the standout Russian light heavyweight prospect Ali Izmailov, who will face a good test against American Charles Foster.
Although obviously Izmailov, who had a great amateur career and who as a professional is showing a very promising future, will be the favorite, this seems an interesting match for his development, since he will battle an undefeated boxer, taller than him, southpaw and with considerable amateur experience. That way, depending on what kind of performance he puts on, it will be possible to start seriously assessing how long it will take for Izmailov to get to fights at the top of the division.
The co-main event will also be a light heavyweight clash, since American Richard Vansiclen will clash against Colombian Juan Carrillo in said division.
