El respaldo del evento Whyte-Franklin ofreció un excelente combate de boxeo femenino entre la peso superligero británica Sandy Ryan 5(2KO)-1 y la argentina Anahi “La Indiecita” Sánchez 21(13KO)-5(1). Pese a tener un entrenador imbécil que la abofeteó (deberían sancionarlo) y le hizo levantarse como castigo durante el tiempo de descanso, Ryan logró una victoria por decisión unánime y puntuaciones muy excesivas de 100-92, 99-91 y 98-92.
En el primer round Ryan se mantuvo demasiado estática, así que Sánchez le pudo golpear con duros golpes de poder curvos. Esto sucedió más veces en el combate, pero por lo general desde el segundo episodio Ryan se movió por el ring, efectuó excelentes esquivas y sacó afilados jabs y directos y contragolpes en uppercut diestro y gancho zurdo para alcanzar con precisión a una Sánchez que, de todos modos, no dejó de presionar y lanzar fuertes hooks.
Aun así, aunque como siempre “La Indiecita” ofreció una actuación muy meritoria y durante varios momentos incomodó a la favorita, conectando además peligrosas manos en emocionantes e intensos intercambios, la británica terminó dañando con sus andanadas en el séptimo episodio a Sánchez. Desde entonces la visitante perdió rendimiento de forma crucial y Ryan lo aprovechó para castigarla y desgastarla hasta ponerla en una situación crítica, aunque Sánchez llegó a la campana final a base de bravura y tesón.
En cuanto al prospecto del peso crucero Cheavon Clarke 4(4KO)-0, éste obtuvo la cuarta victoria antes del límite de su carrera y del año batiendo al argentino José Gregorio Ulrich 17(6KO)-6(4) por KOT en el segundo episodio.
Ulrich trató de moverse y mostrarse activo de manos para contener el peligro ofensivo de Clarke, pero este último usó su pegada para, a través de ganchos zurdos, uppercuts diestros y directos, generar daños tempranos. Todavía en el primer round, el argentino padeció una cuenta, pero el choque no terminó en ese episodio sino en el siguiente,. Entonces, tras algunos intercambios en corta, Clarke asestó un brutal uppercut diestro que hizo tambalearse terriblemente a Ulrich antes de que el árbitro saltase para detener el choque y agarrar al púgil para evitar que cayese.
Aunque en un principio no estaba previsto que fuese parte de la cartelera principal, finalmente este tramo del evento se inició con el combate del peso medio entre Mark Dickinson 4(1KO)-0 y Gideon Onyenani 4(0KO)-3, que fue ganado por el primero a los puntos (juez-árbitro 59-56).
El duelo se desarrolló en la distancia media, esencialmente cerca del centro del ring y con frecuentes golpes de poder por parte de ambos, que ofrecieron un choque contendido e interesante. De todos modos, gradualmente Dickinson fue decantando las acciones más claramente de su lado acompañando su firme jab con explosivos curvos arriba y abajo y sólidos directos. Dado que estos fueron los golpes más llamativos, es lógico que el árbitro le viese ganar la mayoría de los asaltos y por lo tanto la pelea, si bien es justo señalar que Onyenani puso mucha garra y voluntad y que cuando se vio en inferioridad lanzó ofensivas de hooks con las que generó trabajo y ofreció minutos igualados.

The main undercard of the Whyte-Franklin event featured an excellent women’s boxing match between British super lightweight Sandy Ryan 5(2KO)-1 and the Argentinian Anahi “La Indiecita” Sánchez 21(13KO)-5(1). Despite having an idiot coach who slaped her (he should be punished for it) and made her stand up during the minute between rounds, Ryan pulled off a unanimous decision victory with excesives scores of 100-92, 99-91 and 98-92.
In the first round, Ryan was too static, so Sanchez was able to hit her with hard power shots in hook. This happened more times in the match, but generally from the second round Ryan moved around the ring, used excellent dodges and unleashed sharp straight hands and jabs and counter right uppercuts and left hooks to precisely hit Sanchez who, however, did not stop pressing and throwing hard hooks.
Although as always «La Indiecita» offered a very meritorious performance and made the favorite uncomfortable, and also connected dangerous hands in exciting and intense exchanges, the British ended up hurting Sánchez with her barrages of punches in the seventh round. Since then, the visitor lost performance in a crucial way and Ryan took advantage of it to wear Sánchez down until she was put in a critical situation, although the former titlist reached the final bell relying on bravery and tenacity.
As for the cruiserweight prospect Cheavon Clarke 4(4KO)-0, he obtained the fourth stoppage victory of his career and of the year beating the Argentinian José Gregorio Ulrich 17(6KO)-6(4) by TKO in the second round.
Ulrich tried to move and be active with his hands trying to contain Clarke’s offensive danger, but the latter used his punch to, through left hooks, right uppercuts and straight hands, deal damage very early in the bout. Still in the first round, the Argentinian suffered a count, but the clash did not end in that episode but in the next one. Then, after a few short exchanges, Clarke landed a brutal right uppercut that staggered Ulrich terribly before the referee jumped in to stop the clash and hold the fighter to prevent him from falling down.
Although in theory it was not going to be part of the main card, finally the DAZN broadcast began with the middleweight fight between Mark Dickinson 4(1KO)-0 and Gideon Onyenani 4(0KO)-3, which was won by the former on points (judge-referee 59-56).
The duel took place in the middle distance, essentially near the center of the ring and with frequent power shots connected from both, who offered a contested and interesting bout. However, gradually Dickinson won the rounds more clearly accompanying his steady jab with explosive hooks up and down and solid straight shots. Given that these were the most eye-catching blows, it is logical that the referee saw him win most of the rounds and therefore the fight, although it is fair to point out that Onyenani put a lot of grit and determination and that when he found himself in inferiority he threw offensives of hooks with which he generated work.
