Pero este ni mucho menos fue el caso en el pesaje para su pelea por el título interino WBC del peso supermedio [76,2 kg o 168 lb] que disputará ante David Lemieux. “El Bandera Roja” Benavídez detuvo la romana en sólo 75,5 kg (166,4 lb), 700 gramos (1,6 lb) menos que el límite de la división. Por su parte, Lemieux dio una cantidad incluso más ligera 75,4 kg (166,2 lb).
Respecto al respaldo principal de este combate, para la pelea pactada tres libras (1,4 kg) sobre el peso superwélter [69,9 kg o 154 lb] entre Yoelvis Gómez y Jorge Cota, los boxeadores dieron cantidades respectivas de 71,0 kg (156,6 lb) y de 71,1 kg (156,8 lb). En cuanto al choque del peso pluma [57,2 kg o 126 lb] entre Luis Reynaldo Núñez y Jonathan Javier Fierro, estos pararon la báscula en 57,2 kg (126 lb) y 57,0 kg (125,6 lb).

In the past David Benavídez has had serious problems with his weight, and he even lost a world belt on the scale. But this was far from the case at the weigh-in for his interim WBC super middleweight [76.2 kg or 168 lb] title fight against David Lemieux. “El Bandera Roja” Benavídez stopped the scale at just 75.5 kg (166.4 lb), 700 grams (1.6 lb) less than the division limit. For his part, Lemieux was even lighter with 75.4 kg (166.2 lb).
Regarding the main support, for the fight agreed three pounds (1.4 kg) over super welterweight [69.9 kg or 154 lb] between Yoelvis Gómez and Jorge Cota, the boxers weighed respectively 71.0 kg (156.6 lbs) and 71.1 kg (156.8 lbs). As for the featherweight clash [57.2 kg or 126 lb] between Luis Reynaldo Núñez and Jonathan Javier Fierro, they tipped the scale at 57.2 kg (126 lb) and 57.0 kg (125.6 lb).
