En los últimos días se han producido múltiples noticias relevantes que se resumen brevemente a continuación.
La compañía BOXXER confirmó que el día 25 de marzo en el Manchester Arena de Manchester, Reino Unido, se producirá una velada encabezada por el campeonato mundial WBO del peso crucero Lawrence Okolie vs. David Light. En el respaldo, el peso pesado Frazer Clarke se medirá a Rydell Booker, mientras que Jack Catterall y Karriss Artingstall se enfrentarán a oponentes por confirmar.
Inmediatamente después de que Gennadiy Golovkin dejase vacante su cinturón mundial IBF, la WBA, como se esperaba que hiciese, volvió a ordenar un duelo entre “GGG” y su retador obligatorio Erislandy Lara, así que ahora habrá que esperar unas semanas para ver qué camino termina escogiendo el kazajo.
También se produjo una subasta para el campeonato mundial indiscutido del peso superwélter femenino entre Jessica McCaskill e Ivana Habazin. En él, entre otros combates, el invicto prospecto del peso supergallo Sam Goodman se enfrentará al excampeón mundial TJ Doheny, el imbatido peso semipesado Paulo Aokuso peleará contra el veterano Yunieski González y el pegador Issac Hardman combatirá en el peso supermedio contra Rohan Murdock.
Finalmente, también se anunció que el peso pesado, plata olímpico, Richard Torrez Jr. participará en el respaldo del José Carlos Ramírez vs. Richard Commey el día 25 de marzo. Su oponente será Willie Jake Jr., un boxeador noqueado por Jermaine Franklin, Stephan Shaw y Frank Sánchez…

In the last few days there have been multiple relevant news that are briefly summarized below.
BOXXER confirmed that, on March 25 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom, Lawrence Okolie will headline an evening defending his WBO world cruiserweight belt against David Light. In the undercard, heavyweight Frazer Clarke will face Rydell Booker, while Jack Catterall and Karriss Artingstall will battle opponents to be confirmed.
Immediately after Gennadiy Golovkin vacated his IBF world belt, the WBA, as expected, reordered a fight between “GGG” and his mandatory challenger Erislandy Lara, so now we will have to wait a few weeks to see which way the Kazakh ends up choosing.
There was also a purse bid for the undisputed world super welterweight female championship between Jessica McCaskill and Ivana Habazin.
