The outstanding super middleweight prospect Silyagin, 4th WBC, achieved another excellent victory with spectacular TKO against Nizar Trimech

The French Nizar “The Bomber” Trimech 9(4KO)-3(1)-1 is a tough boxer, something he has shown, among other times, with the very even fight he offered in Spain against former EU titleholder Ronny Landaeta or the draw he obtained in Poland against former world challenger and former European champion Kamil Szeremeta. However, this Monday, in the main match of the Dynamo Boxing Promotions evening, Trimech faced the excellent Russian prospect Pavel Silyagin 10(5KO)-0, 4th WBC who used his technical quality to defeat his opponent with a spectacular TKO in the sixth round.

After Silyagin and Trimech tested each other with their straight punches, the Russian unleashed a counter right hand that dropped the visitor late in the first round. The knockdown didn’t affect Trimech’s performance in the second round, but Silyagin continued to switch stances from orthodox to southpaw and vice versa, subtly avoiding hands and landing formidable straight right hands, two-one combinations or left hooks that ended up hurting a bit his opponent.

Trimech was reducing his attacks, spending more and more time with his guard tight and near the ropes, though then he added mobility to his boxing and performed sporadic attacks that gave him momentary successes. But the swift and unorthodox Silyagin adjusted his ring cut and, between his various feints and diagonals, he ended up again neutralizing Trimech, who when tried to react met with very effective counter straight punches.

With some jabs, left hooks, blocks and movements, Trimech was trying to be competitive, but overall this time he didn’t seem to be fighting for the win as much as he was trying to avoid getting knocked out. However, he was unsuccessful in this goal. In the sixth episode Silyagin connected a right hand combined with a very accurate left hook that spectacularly laid in the canvas Trimech, who tried to get up unsuccessfully before the referee stoppage.

At the moment, Silyagin is classified in the Council only behind David Benavídez, David Lemieux and Daniel Jacobs, so in a few months (and when Benvaídez-Lemieux and Jacobs-Ryder take place) he could be close to an eliminator. For this reason, the time has come for Silyagin to prepare as much as possible against high-level fighters, since before he realizes, a decisive test will reach him in which it will be sorted out if he can stop being a very outstanding contender and become a member of the elite of the division.
