El top 15 del peso supergallo en cuatro organismos Toshiya Ishii expondrá su cinturón de Japón ante un exretador a este título como Ryuya Tsugawa, que en su carrera sólo ha padecido dos derrotas por decisión en contendidos combates. La pelea se producirá en el Korakuen Hall de Tokio, televisada por Lemino.
Viernes 22 de agosto
En un viernes realmente flojo, sólo se puede mencionar una pelea desde el Caribe Royale de Orlando, Estados Unidos, emitida por DAZN. En ella, el cubano Yoelvis Gómez buscará su tercer triunfo desde que perdió su récord invicto ante Marquis Taylor enfrentándose en el peso superwélter al haitiano Edwine Humaine, que viene de sufrir su primera derrota (por decisión) en su mayor combate hasta la fecha ante Ardreal Holmes Jr.
Sábado 23 de agosto
De nuevo en el Caribe Royale Orlando de Orlando, Estados Unidos, retransmitida por DAZN, se producirá una velada con algunos encuentros destacables. El estelar será un choque entre dos invictos peso mosca como el puertorriqueño Yankiel Rivera y el colombiano Angelino Córdova, quienes, más allá del título de subcampeón WBA en juego, podrían ofrecer un entretenido choque que emplazará al ganador a futuras noches importantes.
La cartelera también contará con otra pelea por título secundario WBA, en este caso del peso superwélter, entre el imbatido cubano Yoenis Tellez y un Abass Baraou que no combate desde hace 14 meses, y con un duelo del peso ligero en el que el top 5 en dos organismos Lucas Bahdi se medirá a un Roger Gutiérrez que parece definitivamente convertido en jornalero y que no logra una victoria destacable desde 2021.
Por otro lado, en el Planet Ice de Altrincham, Reino Unido, emitido por DAZN, se desarrollará un interesante campeonato británico y de la Commonwealth del peso superligero en el que el invicto titular Jack Rafferty, top 15 en tres organismos, afrontará quizás su último test nacional antes de centrarse en el ámbito internacional. Su oponente será un Mark Chamberlain que buscará un triunfo que le permita recuperarse de su decisivo tropiezo ante Josh Padley.
En el respaldo, el campeón de la Commonwealth del peso pluma Zak Miller tratará de encadenar sus dos mayores victorias midiéndose a Leon Woodstock, púgil con cualidades pero que siempre se queda corto en sus peleas más importantes, y el invicto Jack Turner peleará en el peso supermosca contra otro boxeador joven e invicto como el argentino Nicolás Agustín Muguruza.
El sábado también tendrá estos otros combates:
-En el Miccosukee Indian Gaming Resort de Miami, Estados Unidos, el excampeón mundial unificado del peso crucero Murat Gassiev pondrá fin a diez meses fuera del ring peleando en el peso pesado contra Jeremiah Milton, que llega de sufrir su única (y controvertida) derrota.
-En The Suffolk de Riverhead, Estados Unidos, el 14º WBO del peso gallo Dominique Crowder afrontará su segunda prueba a diez rounds ante un Edwin Rodríguez con un año de inactividad pero que posee un récord engañoso y que ha logrado varios éxitos contra pronóstico.
-En el Fortitude Music Hall de Fortitude Valley, Australia, emitido por DAZN, Jake Wyllie y Youssef Dib se enfrentarán en un choque del peso ligero.

Top 15 super bantamweight in four sanctioning bodies, Toshiya Ishii, will defend his Japanese title against a former challenger for this belt, Ryuya Tsugawa, who has only suffered two decision losses in tightly contested bouts. The fight will take place at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, broadcast by Lemino.
Friday, August 22
On a truly weak Friday, only one fight is worth mentioning, taking place at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, United States, aired by DAZN. In it, Cuban Yoelvis Gómez will seek his third win since losing his undefeated record to Marquis Taylor, facing Haitian Edwine Humaine in the super welterweight division. Humaine is coming off his first defeat (by decision) in his biggest bout to date against Ardreal Holmes Jr.

Once again at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, United States, broadcast by DAZN, a card will feature some noteworthy matchups. The main event will be a clash between two undefeated flyweights: Puerto Rican Yankiel Rivera and Colombian Angelino Córdova. Beyond the WBA secondary title at stake, they could deliver an entertaining bout that sets the winner up for future big nights.
The card will also include another fight for a secondary WBA belt, this time in the super welterweight division, between undefeated Cuban Yoenis Tellez and Abass Baraou, who hasn’t fought in 14 months. Additionally, there will be a lightweight bout in which top 5 contender in two sanctioning bodies, Lucas Bahdi, will face Roger Gutiérrez, who seems to have settled into journeyman status and hasn’t secured a notable win since 2021.
