En un principio se esperaba que el evento del jueves en Montreal tuviese un par de duelos con algo de interés, pero finalmente, a falta de menos de una semana para su disputa, se confirmaron oficialmente varios cambios, que dejaron cruces desparejados y en los que los invictos son abrumadores favoritos: los peso semipesado Albert Ramirez y Mehmet Unal se medirán respectivamente a Michael Alan Flannery y Jan Czerklewicz, el peso superligero Arthur Biyarslanov peleará contra Antonio Collado y el peso wélter Christopher Guerrero contra Williams Andrés Herrera. Este evento será emitido por ESPN+.
Viernes 6 de junio
La cartelera más destacada del viernes se producirá en Estados Unidos retransmitida por DAZN, estando encabezada por el choque entre los peso pesado estadounidenses Brandon Moore y Stanley Wright. El primero era considerado un prospecto con algo de proyección hasta que fue vapuleado por Richard Torrez Jr. y el segundo viene de un triunfo inesperado ante un invicto, por lo que, aunque seguramente ninguno de los dos llegará a estar a la altura del top 15 de la categoría, es un encuentro con cierto interés y que permitirá al ganador asegurarse una buena oportunidad en el futuro próximo.
En el respaldo, el peso ligero Joshua James Pagan disputará su segundo combate a diez rounds ante James Bernadin y el peso superwélter Joseph Hicks disputará su mayor test hasta la fecha ante Wendy Touissant.
También el viernes, el peso superwélter británico Josh Kelly encabezará una velada televisada por Channel 5 en la que, teóricamente, debería poder lograr un sencillo triunfo ante el rumano Flavius Biea, mientras que en otro evento estadounidense emitido por DAZN el joven peso ligero Antonio Pérez buscará seguir aumentando su experiencia midiéndose al fogueado pero irregular Alex Martin.
Sábado 7 de junio
Aunque el encuentro Hysa-Korte es propio de una promotora pequeña que organiza duelos sin sentido, el evento de Queensberry Promotions ofrecerá algunos encuentros interesantes en su velada del sábado emitida por DAZN. Y es que en el combate estelar, el peso pesado británico Fabio Wardley, convertido definitivamente en una figura muy relevante tras destruir a Frazer Clarke, se medirá al invicto prospecto australiano Justis Huni. Comparando los rendimientos de ambos y el nivel de oposición que han afrontado, Wardley debería poder lograr una sólida victoria aunque, sea quien sea el que salga con el brazo en alto, tendrá prácticamente garantizada una eliminatoria por título mundial.
En el respaldo de este encuentro, el destacado prospecto irlandés del peso superligero Pierce O’Leary será claro favorito para coronarse campeón de Europa ante Liam Dillon y el veterano exaspirante mundial del peso crucero Mike Pérez, que quiere alcanzar un nuevo combate de calibre, disputará su choque más relevante desde 2017 enfrentándose a Steven Ward.
¿Cómo es posible que un boxeador que no combate desde hace más de un año y medio y que viene de una derrota acceda a un campeonato mundial? La respuesta es corrupción y la extraña relación entre Top Rank y la WBO. Es por este motivo que el campeón WBO del peso ligero Keyshawn Davis se medirá a un Edwin de los Santos ante el que no debería permitirse lograr otra cosa que no sea una victoria abrumadora.
En el respaldo de esta cartelera retransmitida por ESPN+, el peso ligero Abdullah Mason buscará sumar un nuevo knockout ante un Jeremia Nakathila que no ha disputado peleas exigentes desde que fue noqueado por Muratalla y Mercado en 2023; el prospecto superligero Kelvin Davis dará un paso adelante ante su compatriota Nahir Albright y el peso medio Troy Isley hará lo propio ante el brasileño Etoundi Michel, que en 2023 derrotó contra pronóstico al próximo retador mundial Jorge “Chino” García.
Un encuentro que vale la pena destacar es el campeonato de Europa del peso supermedio que encabezará una velada de Boxxer televisada por Sky desde Reino Unido. En este duelo, dos invictos con buena pegada como el local Callum Simpson y el italiano Ivan Zucco se enfrentarán en una prueba de fuego para ambos (y en un choque potencialmente emocionante) que decidirá quién de ellos pasa a convertirse en uno más de los contendientes de la disputada división que pugnan a la espera de una muy difícil de alcanzar oportunidad titular por la corona indiscutida.
En el respaldo, el también imbatido peso supermedio Mark Jeffers se mantendrá preparado para un decisivo paso adelante (quien sabe si ante el ganador del Simpson-Zucco) enfrentándose al estadounidense Sean Hemphill y el peso pluma Rhys Edwards buscará recuperarse de su primera derrota ante Peter McGrail midiéndose al experimentado y correoso Thomas Essomba.
El sábado también se producirán estos otros combates:
–Beatriz Ferreira y María Inés Ferryra se medirán por el título mundial IBF del peso ligero en un evento emitido por DAZN,
–Michael Angeletti y Eros Correa se enfrentarán en un buen choque del peso gallo y el peso ligero Justin Pauldo afrontará un rodaje contra el resistente Juan Carlos Burgos. Los combates serán emitidos por YouTube.
-El prospecto del peso pesado Mourad Aliev y el campeón de Europa de la división Labinot Xhoxhaj, que se coronó totalmente contra pronóstico, se medirán en un evento emitido por DAZN.
Domingo 8 de junio
El top 10 libra por libra Junto Nakatani buscará un hito más en su ya extraordinaria carrera en una unificación de coronas WBC-IBF del peso gallo ante su compatriota Ryosuke Nishida. En el cruce entre estos dos japoneses invictos, inevitablemente, Nakatani será clarísimo favorito, ya que, aunque Nishida es un zurdo con cualidades, el campeón en tres divisiones parece tener un nivel demasiado alto para la absoluta mayoría de boxeadores de las divisiones más ligeras.
Esta buena cartelera emitida por ESPN+ desde Japón, también contará con un decisivo duelo para el acceso a una pelea mundialista en el peso gallo entre Tenshin Nasukawa y Víctor Santillán y con el segundo combate profesional para el insigne prospecto del peso gallo Tomoya Tsuboi ante Van Thao Tran.
También habrá un cinturón mundial en juego en el evento de Matchroom y DAZN desde Australia, en el cual el campeón IBF del peso crucero Jai Opetaia expondrá su título ante el italiano Claudio Squeo. Es entendible que un titular no afronte sólo peleas de alto riesgo, pero escoger a Squeo como oponente es ir demasiado lejos, ya que éste no debería estar ni siquiera ranqueado, habiendo logrado el mayor triunfo de su carrera ante Niklas Rasanen por la mínima, con controversia y siendo derribado.
En el respaldo, el peso superwélter Ben Mahoney se medirá al competente jornalero venezolano Eddy Colmenares.
Para terminar, en Italia, emitido por DAZN y ESPN+ (dependiendo el país), se producirá una cartelera en la que el peso crucero Fabio Turchi intentará regresar a las listas mundiales y lograr su primer triunfo ante un rival de récord positivo desde 2021 peleando por un título menor WBO contra al letón Milan Volkovs, que llega de un triunfo contra pronóstico en Reino Unido. También en la velada, el invicto peso pluma Simone Rao afrontará una gran primera prueba profesional ante el hábil y mucho más experimentado, aunque en crisis, Francesco Grandelli, que buscará estabilizarse tras haber sufrido tres derrotas en sus últimos tres combates relevantes.

Thursday, June 5
Thursday’s event in Montreal was initially expected to feature a couple of interesting bouts, but less than a week before the fight night, several changes were officially confirmed in form of uneven matches in which the undefeated fighters are overwhelming favorites: light heavyweights Albert Ramirez and Mehmet Unal will face Michael Alan Flannery and Jan Czerklewicz, respectively; super lightweight Arthur Biyarslanov will fight Antonio Collado; and welterweight Christopher Guerrero will face Williams Andrés Herrera. This event will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Friday, June 6
Friday’s most notable card will take place in the United States and will be broadcast on DAZN. It will be headlined by the clash between American heavyweights Brandon Moore and Stanley Wright. The former was considered a prospect until he was thrashed by Richard Torrez Jr., and the latter is coming off an unexpected win against an undefeated fighter. So, while neither fighter will likely reach the level of the division’s top 15, it’s a fight with some interest and will allow the winner to secure a good opportunity in the near future.
In the undercard, lightweight Joshua James Pagan will fight in his second ten-round bout against James Bernadin, and junior middleweight Joseph Hicks will face his biggest test to date against Wendy Touissant.
Also on Friday, British junior middleweight Josh Kelly will headline a Channel 5 televised event in which he should theoretically obtain an easy win against Romanian Flavius Biea. In another American event broadcast on DAZN, young lightweight Antonio Pérez will look to further expand his experience against the seasoned but inconsistent Alex Martin.
Saturday, June 7
Although the match between Hysa and Korte looks like the typical bout of a small promotional company that organizes meaningless fights, the Queensberry Promotions event will offer some interesting bouts on its Saturday card broadcast on DAZN. In the main event, British heavyweight Fabio Wardley, who has definitely become a major player after destroying Frazer Clarke, will face undefeated Australian prospect Justis Huni. Comparing their performances and the level of opposition they have faced, Wardley should be able to pull off a solid victory, although whoever emerges victorious will have practically guaranteed a world title eliminator.
In the undercard of this match, standout Irish super-lightweight prospect Pierce O’Leary will be the clear favorite to be crowned European champion against Liam Dillon, and veteran former world cruiserweight challenger Mike Perez, who wants to reach a new big fight, will have his most significant clash since 2017 against Steven Ward.
How is it possible for a boxer who hasn’t fought in over a year and a half and is coming off a loss to gain access to a world championship fight? The answer is corruption and the strange relationship between Top Rank and the WBO. This is why WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis will face Edwin de los Santos, against whom he shouldn’t allow himself to achieve anything less than a crushing victory.
On the undercard of this ESPN+ card, lightweight Abdullah Mason will look to score another knockout against Jeremia Nakathila, who hasn’t fought in a demanding fight since being knocked out by Muratalla and Mercado in 2023; super lightweight prospect Kelvin Davis will take a step up against his fellow countryman Nahir Albright, and middleweight Troy Isley will do the same against Brazilian Etoundi Michel, who in 2023 unexpectedly defeated world title challenger Jorge «Chino» Garcia.
The European super middleweight championship, which will headline a Boxxer event televised by Sky from the UK, looks like a worthwhile fight. In this duel, two undefeated punchers, local boxer Callum Simpson and Italian Ivan Zucco, will face off in a (potentially exciting) decisive test that will determine which of them will become another contender in the highly contested division striving to reach a very elusive title shot at the undisputed crown.
As for the undercard, also unbeaten super middleweight Mark Jeffers will remain ready for a big step up (maybe against the winner of the main event) facing American Sean Hemphill, while featherweight Rhys Edwards will look to bounce back from his first loss to Peter McGrail clashing against the experienced and tough Thomas Essomba.

–Michael Angeletti and Eros Correa will square off in a good bantamweight bout and Justin Pauldo will face the resistant Juan Carlos Burgos. These matches will be broadcast on YouTube.

Sunday, June 8
Top 10 pound-for-pound fighter Junto Nakatani will seek to reach another milestone to his already extraordinary career in an unification of the WBC-IBF bantamweight titles against his compatriot Ryosuke Nishida. In the matchup between these two undefeated Japanese fighters, Nakatani will inevitably be the clear favorite as, although Nishida is a talented southpaw, the three-division champion seems to be too good for the vast majority of boxers in the lighter divisions. This interesting card, broadcast on ESPN+ from Japan, will also feature a decisive duel in the access to a world title fight at bantamweight between Tenshin Nasukawa and Víctor Santillán, and the second professional bout for standout bantamweight prospect Tomoya Tsuboi against Van Thao Tran.
There will also be a world title at stake in the Matchroom and DAZN event from Australia, in which IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia will defend his title against Italian Claudio Squeo. It’s understandable that a titleholder doesn’t only face high-risk fights, but choosing Squeo as a challenger is going a step too far, as he shouldn’t even be ranked, having achieved the biggest win of his career against Niklas Rasanen by narrow margin, controversially and suffering a knockdown.
In the undercard, super welterweight Ben Mahoney will face competent Venezuelan journeyman Eddy Colmenares.
Finally, in Italy, broadcast on DAZN and ESPN+ (depending on the country), cruiserweight Fabio Turchi will try to return to the world rankings, and score his first victory against an opponent with a positive record since 2021, fighting for a WBO minor title against Latvian Milan Volkovs, who is coming off an unexpected victory in the United Kingdom. Also on the evening, undefeated featherweight Simone Rao will face his first professional hard test against the skillful and much more experienced Francesco Grandelli, who will look to stabilize his career after having suffered three losses in his last three relevant fights.
