El invicto peso semipesado Vasily Voytsekhovsky remontó intenso combate contra David Gladun

En su anterior subida al ring el prospecto ruso del peso semipesado Vasily Voytsekhovsky 10(6KO)-0 tuvo que levantarse de la lona para derrotar al pegador Gasan Gasanov. En esta ocasión, el invicto no se vio en una situación tan comprometida, pero también tuvo que trabajar en el choque y tuvo ciertas dificultades antes de batir a su compatriota David Gladun 7(4KO)-2(2) por KOT en el sexto round.
En el primer round Voytsekhovksy empezó bien, estuvo más o menos atento en defensa y, ante un Gladun técnicamente sólido, conectó buenos golpes en directo diestro y uppercut de esta misma mano. Sin embargo, en el segundo y el tercer round Gladun empezó a desplegar sus directos diestros, sus jabs y cortas combinaciones, por ejemplo en dos-uno, para frenar el avance de Voytsekhovksy y alcanzarle con claridad en el que estaba siendo un combate táctico pero intenso.
Cuando las cosas empezaban a pintar un poco mal para el favorito, éste tiró de pegada para, contestando un jab de Gladun, impactar un directo diestro que lo llevó al tapiz en el cuarto round. El boxeador no sólo se levantó, sino que contestó con precisión y pareció dañar ligeramente con sus golpes de poder a Voytsekhovksy. Con todo, Gladun se desgastó más que su rival y Voytsekhovksy le castigó con ganchos abajo y manos diestras antes de volver a tumbarlo en el quinto round, esta vez con un cruzado de derecha,
La pugna llegó al sexto round, pero un uno-dos dejó muy tocado a Gladun, que se tambaleó seriamente afectado y que fue atacado con bastantes golpes en una esquina hasta que el tercer hombre decidió poner fin al encuentro.
A pesar de que las brechas mostradas en sus combates más recientes no deben ser pasadas por alto, lo positivo respecto a Voytsekhovksy es que él es plenamente consciente, y así lo ha explicado, de que no puede depender siempre de su fuerza, potencia y resistencia para ganar combates y que necesita evolucionar. Así, no negando sus problemas, Voytsekhovksy seguramente podrá trabajar para solucionar aunque sea parte de ellos, especialmente teniendo sólo diez combates profesionales y no contando con una extensa carrera amateur.
Además, el púgil ha mostrado mucha garra y una gran capacidad de reacción ante la adversidad, cualidades que no todos tienen, ni siquiera al nivel del top 15, y que es difícil de adquirir, por lo que cuanto menos Voytsekhovksy tiene elementos en los que apoyarse de cara a su próxima decena de peleas buscando desarrollarse antes de mayores objetivos.

In his previous ring appearance, Russian light heavyweight prospect Vasily Voytsekhovsky 10(6KO)-0 had to get off the canvas to defeat the puncher Gasan Gasanov. On this occasion, the unbeaten boxer was not in such a compromising situation, but he also had to work hard in the clash, and had some difficulties, before beating his compatriot David Gladun 7(4KO)-2(2) by sixth round TKO.
In the first round Voytsekhovksy started well. He was more or less attentive in defense and, against a technically solid Gladun, he landed good straight hands and right uppercuts. However, in the second and third rounds, Gladun began to deploy his straight right punches, firm jabs and short combinations, for example in two-one, so he stopped Voytsekhovksy’s progression and hit him cleanly in what was being an intense tactical fight.
When things began to look a bit bad for the favorite, Voytsekhovksy answered a jab from Gladun with a right hand that took his opponent to the mat in the fourth round. The boxer not only got up, but punched accurately and seemed to lightly hurt Voytsekhovksy with his power shots. Still, Gladun was more tired than his opponent and Voytsekhovksy hammered him with hooks downstairs and right hands before putting him down again in the fifth round, this time with an overhand right.
The fight reached the sixth round, but a one-two hurt Gladun, who wobbled seriously affected and was attacked with many blows in a corner until the referee decided to end the match.
Although the flaws shown in his most recent bouts should not be overlooked, the positive thing about Voytsekhovksy is that he is fully aware that he cannot always rely on his strength, power and stamina to win fights and that he needs to evolve. Thus, not denying his problems, Voytsekhovksy will surely be able to work to solve, at least, part of them, especially having only ten professional bouts and not having an extensive amateur career.
In addition, the boxer has displayed a lot of grit and a great ability to react to adversity, qualities that not every boxer has, not even at the top 15 level, and which are difficult to acquire, so Voytsekhovksy has elements in which support himself for his next ten fights seeking to develop before aiming for big objectives.
