Pavel Silyagin derrotó por decisión a Buonarrigo, Agrba noqueó a Indongo

Poniendo de manifiesto algo que era ya perceptible desde hace tiempo, el prometedor peso supermedio ruso Pavel Silyagin 12(5KO)-0 demostró su superioridad sobre su compatriota Aslambek Idigov derrotando al argentino Abraham Buonarrigo 11(9KO)-4, al que Idigov sólo pudo vencer con una muy polémica decisión.
El gran control de los espacios de Silyagin, como siempre, le permitió evitar manos peligrosas y encontrar oportunidades para llegar con su jab y con variados hooks, a pesar de que Buonarrigo le sorprendió en el primer round con un duro hook.
Efectivamente, el argentino ni mucho menos salió al ring a regalar la victoria, sino que intentó trabajar con sus ganchos y su jab y en el tercer round incluso estremeció al local con un golpe de poder curvo. Pero los astutos contragolpes y reposicionamientos de Silyagin le permitieron tener minutos de control táctico de las acciones y cuando recibió un golpe nítido se esforzó por intentar compensarlo con insistentes combinaciones de directo-hook.
Con el paso de los minutos los momentos de amenaza de Buonarrigo se redujeron mucho y Silyagin cada vez le hizo fallar más manos y encontró ocasiones para llegar con hábiles contragolpes en todo tipo de trayectorias. De todos modos, el visitante lidió con la frustración y en el séptimo asalto de nuevo logró éxitos con un fuerte directo diestro y varios ganchos, sufriendo el ruso una hemorragia nasal. Silyagin no estaba cómodo y por momentos pareció cansado, pero su oportuna repartición del trabajo durante el round, sus certeras combinaciones y su destreza con las esquivas le permitieron asegurarse el triunfo.
Agrba batió a Indongo
Antes de que Shavkat Rakhimov presentase su cinturón mundial IBF superpluma a su afición (Rakhimov es miembro de RCC Boxing) y antes del semifondo, el prospecto superligero ruso-georgiano Khariton Agrba 10(6KO)-0 se anotó un triunfo por knockout en el tercer asalto al excampeón mundial Julius Indongo 24(13KO)-7(5).
Inicialmente Indongo intentó usar breves combinaciones de hooks, directos disuasorios y agarres para intentar contener a su oponente, pero el zurdo Agrba pronto ajustó y empezó a llegar con directos de izquierdas, ganchos diestros y uppercuts de esta misma mano. El namibio comenzó a replegarse y a mostrar inseguridad en su rostro, lo que precedió a un fantástico uppercut de izquierda que estalló contra Indongo y le llevó al tapiz, de donde no se levantó durante la cuenta del árbitro.

Showing something that was already perceptible for a long time, the promising Russian super middleweight Pavel Silyagin 12(5KO)-0 demonstrated his superiority over his compatriot Aslambek Idigov defeating the Argentinian Abraham Buonarrigo 11(9KO)-4, who Idigov could only beat with a highly controversial decision.
Silyagin’s great control of distance, as always, allowed him to avoid dangerous hands and find opportunities to land his jab and varied hooks, despite Buonarrigo surprised him in the first round with a menacing hook.
Indeed, the Argentinian did not enter the ring to offer an easy night. On the contrary, he tried to work with his hooks and his jab and in the third round he even rocked the local with a power punch. But Silyagin’s astute counterpunching and repositioning allowed him to have minutes of tactical control of the actions, and when he was hit cleanly he immediately tried to answer with persistent straight-hook combinations.
As the minutes passed, Buonarrigo’s threatening successes decreased a lot and Silyagin made him miss more and more hands and found moments to land skilful counterattacks in all kinds of angles. The visitor dealt with the frustration and in the seventh round again landed good shots, as a hard straight right hand and several hooks, and the Russian suffered a nosebleed. However, despite Silyagin was not comfortable and seemed a bit tired at times, his appropiate distribution of the work throughout the round, his accurate combinations and his skillful use of the dodges allowed him to achieve the victory.
Agrba beat Indongo
Before Shavkat Rakhimov presented his IBF super featherweight world belt to his fans (Rakhimov is member of RCC Boxing stable) and before the co-feature fight, Russian-Georgian super lightweight prospect Khariton Agrba 10(6KO)-0 scored a knockout win in the third round over former world champion Julius Indongo 24(13KO)-7(5).
Initially Indongo attempted to use brief combinations of hooks, dissuasive straight shots and clinches to try to slow down his opponent, but the southpaw Agrba soon adjusted and started to connect straight lefts, right hooks and uppercuts. The Namibian began to step back and to show insecurity in his face, which preceded a fantastic left uppercut that hit Indongo and took him to the mat, where he did not get up during the referee’s count.
