Durante los últimos meses ha habido un extraño silencio total respecto a la confirmación de nuevos eventos de DAZN en territorio italiano organizados en colaboración entre Matchroom Boxing y OPI, algo que algunos achacaban a un supuesto distanciamiento entre ambas promotoras o a malos resultados de la plataforma de streaming en Italia. Sea esto cierto o no, al fin OPI ha anunciado un nuevo evento con varios de sus nombres destacados, si bien no lo realizará junto a Matchroom ni será emitido por DAZN.
Efectivamente, ha sido confirmado que el día 28 de octubre en el Pala Atlantico de Roma, Italia, OPI se aliará con Top Rank para organizar una cartelera que será televisada en Estados Unidos por ESPN+ y en otros países por Mola Tv. Sin más explicaciones que estas, de momento no se puede saber si esta será una colaboración puntual o un cambio de estrategia global de OPI que afectará a Matchroom, pero el hecho es que este evento es muy similar a los que ha ofrecido DAZN en Italia si bien en teoría esta vez no se podrá acceder a él desde la plataforma de streaming.
En el combate estelar, el olímpico italiano, peso pesado, Guido Vianello buscará su segunda victoria del año ante el británico Jay McFarlane, mientras que en el semifondo el prospecto del peso superwélter Mirko Natalizi afrontará un test ante el británico Tony Dixon, que ha disputado sus dos últimos combates (Prodan y Russo) en Italia.
En el respaldo se producirán también el campeonato de Europa femenino del peso supermosca entre Stephanie Silva y Ewelina Pekalska y un campeonato de Italia del peso superwélter entre Francesco Sarchioto y Francesco Russo.

During the last months there has been a strange total silence regarding the confirmation of new DAZN events in Italian territory organized in collaboration between Matchroom Boxing and OPI, something that some blamed on supposed discrepancies between both promoters or poor results of the streaming platform in Italy. Whether this is true or not, OPI has finally announced a new event with several of its prominent names, although it will not be held together with Matchroom nor will it be broadcast by DAZN.
Indeed, it has been confirmed that on October 28, at the Pala Atlantico in Rome, Italy, OPI will partner with Top Rank to organize a card that will be televised in the United States on ESPN+ and in other countries on Mola Tv. Without further explanation, at the moment it is not possible to know if this will be a punctual collaboration or a change in the global strategy of OPI that will affect Matchroom, but the fact is that this bill is very similar to those that DAZN has offered from Italy although this time it will not be accessible from that streaming platform.
In the main event, the Italian Olympic Guido Vianello will seek his second victory of the year in a heavyweight bout against the British Jay McFarlane, while in the co-feature super welterweight prospect Mirko Natalizi will face a test against the British Tony Dixon, who has had his last two fights (Prodan and Russo) in Italy.
In the support for this matchups there will also be a European super flyweight female championship between Stephanie Silva and Ewelina Pekalska and an Italian super welterweight championship between Francesco Sarchioto and Francesco Russo.
