Más de seis años y medio después de su primer enfrentamiento, este sábado, en el Packard Music Hall de Ohio, Estados Unidos, Ilunga Makabu y Thabiso Mchunu volverán a pugnar el uno contra el otro, en esta ocasión estando en juego el cinturón mundial WBC del peso crucero [90,7 kg o 200 lb]. Para la pugna Makabu pesó 89,4 kg (197 lb), mientras que Mchunu dio 90,0 kg (198,5 lb).
Este cruce, el estelar de un evento emitido por Fite desde las 2:00 en hora española (las 20:00 ET/17:00 PT), será acompañado en el semifondo por un choque del peso pesado en el que el titular “regular” WBA Trevor Bryan se verá las caras con Jonathan Guidry, dando ambos cantidades respectivas de 121,6 kg (268 lb) y 111,8 kg (246,5 lb).

More than six and a half years after their first confrontation, this Saturday, at the Packard Music Hall in Ohio, United States, Ilunga Makabu and Thabiso Mchunu will fight against each other again, this time with the WBC world cruiserweight [200 lb or 90.7 kg] belt at stake. For the match Makabu weighed in at 197 lb (89.4 kg), while Mchunu weighed in at 198.5 lb (90.0 kg).
This bout, which will be the main of a card broadcasted by Fite from 20:00 ET/17:00 PT, will be supported by a heavyweight [+200 lb or +90.7 kg] clash in which the «regular» WBA titleholder Trevor Bryan will face Jonathan Guidry. For this fight Bryan weighed 268 lb (121.6 kg) and Guidry 246.5 lb (111.8 kg).
