Tony Yoka acepta la propuesta de eliminatoria del peso pesado contra Filip Hrgović

Después de meses de búsqueda infructuosa de un oponente para que se midiese en eliminatoria final IBF del peso pesado a Filip Hrgović, éste al fin ha encontrado un rival que ha aceptado medirse a él. Y es que Tony Yoka sí ha aceptado la propuesta para combatir en la antesala mundialista que decidirá el retador obligatorio de Oleksandr Usyk por la Federación.
La noticia ha sido confirmada por los dos promotores de Hrgović, Eddie Hearn y Kalle Sauerland, por lo que ahora habrá que esperar para ver cómo avanzan las negociaciones de este interesantísmo choque de la categoría máxima. Algunos creen que, siendo una pelea que podría generar muchos millones si se produjese en el futuro, surgirá algún obstáculo que impedirá que la veamos materializada en este momento. Con todo, ahora mismo el hecho es que la IBF está emplazada a emitir la orden oficial de eliminatoria y que cuando lo haga ambas partes tendrán unas dos semanas para alcanzar un acuerdo o se llegará a la subasta.

After months of unsuccessful search for an opponent to fight Filip Hrgović in an IBF heavyweight final eliminator, the Croatian has finally found a rival who has accepted to confront him. That is because Tony Yoka has answerd positively to the proposal to fight in the bout which will decide the IBF mandatory challenger of Oleksandr Usyk.
The news has been confirmed by the two promoters of Hrgović, Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland, so now we will have to wait to see how the negotiations of this very interesting clash of the heavyweight category progress. Some believe that, as the fight could generate many millions if it happens in the future, some obstacle will arise that will prevent us from seeing it materialize at this time. However, right now the fact is that the IBF will issue the official eliminator order and then both parties will have about two weeks to reach an agreement before purse bids.
If this clash between two of the most promising prospects of the heavyweight division, who also competed against each other several times in major amateur tournaments, takes place, Hrgović will access to it after two easy three-round wins over low level Marko Radonjić and Emir Ahmatović, while Yoka will enter the eliminator after two TKO wins over Joel Djeko and Petar Milas.
